Pelosi’s Uses The Capitol Police For Her Own “Dirty Work”

Escalating her fight with House Speaker Pelosi over the corrupt investigation of the January 6 protests at the Capitol, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene said that the top Dem used the U.S. Capitol Police like “political pawns” to target GOP members and smear Trump.

From stopping reinforcements to help manage the crowd to having the officers enforce new mask mandates on House grounds, Greene stated this week that “I am worried that USCP officers are now being treated as political pawns by Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other Democrat leaders.”

In a letter to Chief of Police J. Thomas Manger, the Georgia GOP member suggested that by denying their requests for help before the Jan. 6 protest, top Democrats got “just the ‘optics’ the wanted” and a riot that caused the second impeachment of Donald Trump.”

Trump and top Republicans have denied they pushed Trump’s followers to riot at the Capitol on that day, which is when his loss was scheduled to be confirmed. But the image of Trump followers, some in Trump flag capes, and a lot of officers helped the narrative spread, including in one investigation pushed by Pelosi’s team.

The letter is the new push from Congresswoman Greene, who was targeted by Democrats and removed of her committee posts some months ago as revenge from Nancy Pelosi and others for remarks they thought were offensive.

Greene is pushing to look into how the officers targeted the protesters and why some calls for help were denied.

In her first letter, Greene wanted details about the treatment of protesters, especially those who were now in jail. The police, while responding, said they could not respond completely because of the investigations.

However, they did give new numbers of those people being held. The dept.’s lawyer told Greene that there were 582 arrests, over 130 were charged with “resisting, assaulting or impeding” officers, almost 200 were charged with criminal obstruction, and 440 were charged with going into a restricted federal building.

The information came in reply to Greene’s concern that while January 6 protestors were still being done, charges against 90% of the BLM and antifa rioters arrested in 2020 were now dropped.

In the response, Greene drew attention to the political manipulation of Capitol Hill police. And she said, “I have only gotten more alarmed by the Jan. 6 investigation and the mistreatment of police.”

DeSantis’ Office On Biden’s ‘Governor Who’ Remark: ‘He Realized DeSantis Isn’t’ Someone ‘To Pick A Fight With’

Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis’ office mocked Democrat President Joe Biden on Thursday after Biden responded to a question about DeSantis by asking “governor who? … that’s my response.”

DeSantis responded on Wednesday to an attack from Biden earlier in the week when Biden suggested that DeSantis “get out of the way.” In a fiery speech that went viral, DeSantis said that he was standing in Biden’s way in order to protect people’s freedoms.

Biden was asked about DeSantis’ remarks on Thursday afternoon, to which he responded, “governor who?”

Biden immediately broke out laughing as did others who were standing behind the camera that was recording the president, likely indicating that those who were laughing were reporters. Biden then added, “that’s my response.”

DeSantis Press Secretary Christina Pushaw responded to Biden’s remark by telling The Daily Wire: “It would be more convincing if he hadn’t spent the previous 2 days attacking DeSantis.”

“Guess he realized DeSantis isn’t the guy he wants to pick a fight with,” Pushaw added.

Rand Paul: A 'no-fly list' for the unvaccinated is 'obscene' and 'authoritarian'

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) on Thursday responded to a former Obama administration official who is calling for a federal "no-fly list" for Americans who have not had a COVID-19 vaccine, calling the idea "obscene."

"If we now disagree in our personal medical decision with the left they're going to declare that we're a terrorist and that we can't fly," Paul said on Fox News' "Fox & Friends" Thursday morning.

"Even the CDC says you're not supposed to get vaccinated if you've been infected within three months. So what are you going to do? Tell people they can't fly for three months even according to the CDC?" he asked.

Writing in an op-ed for The Atlantic this week, former Assistant Secretary for Homeland Security Juliette Kayyem said that since the White House has refused to implement a nationwide vaccine mandate, "a no-fly list for unvaccinated adults is an obvious step that the federal government should take."

Rep. Jim Jordan: Loving America Shouldn’t Be Controversial, So Why Do Dems Want You To Be Ashamed?

According to the Democrats of Washington DC, being patriotic and calling America the greatest country of the world is controversial. According to them, the entire foundation of American law is infected with racism and bigotry, and the whole system must be overhauled and rebuilt from the ground up. They have downright declared the building blocks of the country’s government and institutions as illegitimate. They are feeding the narrative to every American that they live in a racist country, but most of all, they are feeding it to the state’s children.

It is nothing but propaganda by the Democrats to cease all power. Declaring the state illegitimate, calling for reforms, all to bring the Democrats in the majority representation and restructure the American society according to the leftist policies.

The only hurdle standing in their way is the Supreme Court and the Senate. The Democrats want to make the District of Columbia into a state to appoint and bring two new Democratic senators to the congress and four new Democratic Justices appointed by President Biden to the Supreme Court.

In their attempts to reshape America in their progressive narrative, they have already formed policies against the First and Second Amendments. By colluding with the Big Tech and silencing the free speech that goes against their leftist narrative, they have endangered the American’s freedom of speech.

Biden has also restricted the rights to bear arms, ordering the ATF to monitor and limit the arms licenses, and has even nominated an ATF director to limit the rights under the Second Amendment.

The Democrats have weakened the rule of law by continuously manipulating the legal system to fit their interests. With the support of the media, they can get away with it. They are demolishing federalism and generalizing all authorities into one to keep the decision-making and the implementing control all to themselves without anyone questioning it.

The Democrats are introducing the Reforms to make America great again by forcing the mask requirement inside the Capitol and across the country, launching door-to-door vaccines, taking away people’s choice to choose for themselves, and defending their actions with the help of Big Tech.

No country in the world is flawless, and greatness necessitates hard work. According to the constitution, America is constantly working for a stronger union. It took a long time and a great deal of effort for our country to abolish slavery and attain equality for everybody. The country’s institutions may have been racist or discriminatory historically, but that does not mean that our country has not progressed since.

Despite all its flaws, a true statesman strives to accept them and work towards liberating the land from them, as the Republicans do. They know the actual worth of this nation and its unions. Therefore, they take pride in being the country’s nationals that liberated Europe and East Asia from the shackles of Fascism and Communism.

Looks Like Obama’s Birthday Bash Wasn’t Scaled Back Much

Amusing pictures over at the Daily Mail site today show that, a few days after President Obama vowed to scale back his gigantic 700-person birthday bash tonight on Martha’s Vineyard to limit it to “only family and close friends,” it appears to be full steam ahead with a massive rager, complete with a huge dance floor, rows of tables, and a tent large enough to hold a polo match in. It’s pretty obvious that whatever is going on at the regal $12 million estate paid for by members of the Party of the People (TM) is going to be a bit more elaborate than dinner with friends.

Welp, this wouldn’t be the first time Obama lied about something. The Mail has been watching the airport and logging the names of all the celebrities who have been showing up there. It’s unclear which of them are going to the party, since so many rich Democrats like to summer on Martha’s Vineyard.

Note that I think Barack Obama is perfectly entitled to have a huge celebrity-clogged birthday party outside. I also think he’s perfectly entitled to have a huge birthday party inside, if he wants. (And a tent with walls to foil photographers in which hundreds of people congregate might as well be inside.) But I don’t particularly want to hear Obama or his fans telling me somebody else’s parties are “superspreader events” while their parties are just innocent gatherings of good friends.

The other thing that interests me about the party is that President Biden isn’t expected to attend. Just how much do these two men hate each other? Don’t we have 5,000 White House reporters who breathlessly updated us on everything President Trump tweeted? Why can’t they get us some dish about the very obvious enmity between the most recent two Democratic presidents? Biden claims he’ll be too busy to attend because he’s, er, going to Rehoboth Beach this weekend. Either he wasn’t invited or he snubbed the invite. Either way, it’s news. Are reporters curious about the internal rifts in both parties, or nah?

Who is Bluetooth wireless technology named after?

An English pirate
A viking king
37%
Correct
A fairy-tale character
The Blue Whale

You may not have heard of Harald "Blåtand" Gormsson, who once ruled modern-day Denmark and Norway back in the AD 900s, but you might recognize his nickname: "Blåtand" is Danish for "Bluetooth." Gormsson earned his nickname because of his dead tooth, which was a very dark blue and grayish color. So how did Blåtand end up lending his name to wireless communications technology? Back in the mid-90s, Intel, Ericsson, and Nokia teamed up to establish a single wireless communications standard.

The three companies decided the code name "Bluetooth" for their project. "King Harald Bluetooth," Intel's Jim Kardash wrote in a blog post, "was famous for uniting Scandinavia just as we intended to unite the PC and cellular industries with a short-range wireless link." And though it was supposed to be a temporary code name, "Bluetooth" is still with us today. Oh, and the Bluetooth logo? That's Blåtand's initials written in ancient Danish runes.

Unvaccinated Americans not changing their behavior, report finds
A Kaiser Family Foundation survey finds wide differences in attitudes about the Covid-19 vaccines.

Unvaccinated Americans believe the vaccines are more dangerous than Covid-19, while vaccinated Americans believe the delta variant is worrisome enough that they continue to mask in public and avoid large gatherings. And even though almost 165 million people in the U.S. are fully vaccinated and the delta variant is raging across the country, the percentage of U.S. adults who say they oppose the Covid vaccines has remained unchanged since December, according to a report from the Kaiser Family Foundation.

The survey's findings, published Wednesday, show some of the striking differences between the two groups and the challenges facing public health officials.

A tech entrepreneur just slammed the company he co-founded after one authoritarian move

The establishment is putting the squeeze on the American people.

And Big Tech is helping them get away with it.

But a tech entrepreneur slammed the company he co-founded after one authoritarian move.

David Sacks is going hard after PayPal, the tech company he co-founded with Peter Thiel and Elon Musk.

Thiel and Musk have both drawn the ire of the Left – Thiel for supporting Donald Trump, and Musk for exposing the corporate-controlled press as fraudulent.

Now Sacks is rolling up his sleeves and hitting PayPal after the company’s announcement that they would be teaming with the left-wing Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and other Big Tech companies to administer a database of deplorables.

That means companies will be working together to target right-wingers and limit their access on various sites.

In an op-ed for the newsletter Common Sense, Sacks wrote:

“When someone mistakenly lands on the No-Fly List, they can at least sue or petition the government for redress. But when your name lands on a No-Buy List created by a consortium of private fintech companies, to whom can you appeal?”

Many conservatives and anti-establishment liberals have found this out the hard way.

They’ve been booted from Big Tech platforms with no recourse, including the President of the United States.

Sacks continued:

“As for the notion of building your own PayPal or Facebook: because of their gigantic network effects and economies of scale, there is no viable alternative when the whole industry works together to deny you access.”

This was proven when Twitter competitor Parler was digitally assassinated by Amazon, Apple, and Google.

Amazon summarily pulled its web hosting services, and both Apple and Google barred Parler from its app stores.

Sacks added:

“Kicking people off social media deprives them of the right to speak in our increasingly online world. Locking them out of the financial economy is worse: It deprives them of the right to make a living.”

Many right-wingers have, too, faced this form of censorship.

Commentators have had their Patreon accounts closed, and some have even had their bank accounts closed.

Sacks also pointed out that social media sites lose their Section 230 protections when they act as extensions of the state, which they clearly have.

As much of American life has moved online, denial from the public square along ideological lines is grotesque, and more people need to be calling it out.

Mom told by school district to pay $74 THOUSAND for CRT answers SPEAKS OUT

When Nicole Solas realized her kindergartner daughter likely was being taught critical race theory (CRT) — along with other far-left lessons — she asked the Rhode Island elementary school for answers. The school district told Solas to submit a public information request but then demanded a $74 THOUSAND payment in return for the answers Solas was seeking. She joins Glenn to explain why the school district is not only evading her questions, but they’re also hiding information that SHOULD be readily available to the public.

Biden Makes Huge Mistake with Kamala Harris

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are in a fight for their lives to keep from becoming lame ducks. The Democratic Party has failed to achieve anything substantial for the country. And the Senate and House cannot seem to get on the same page politically. And now that 2021 is almost over, they all have started to point fingers and blame one another for failing in politics.

All of the fighting and finger-pointing is too much to bear for Kamala Harris. She is supposed to be a tie-breaking vote for the Senate, but so far, she still has yet to cast a vote for anything meaningful. 2022 will be the year of the Republicans as they take back the seats that the liberals stole from them in 2022.

Relying on Harris is like relying on Joe Biden. He is incapable of doing it. And so is Harris with responsibility. She was tasked with solving the border issue, and so far, nothing is done. All she has done is flown over it at 35,000 feet in the air.

The morale at the party is extremely low. Many of them have withdrawn into their holes, hoping to hide from the public scrutiny long enough to trick their way back into the seats next year. But the Republican Party keeps right on revealing the failures of each Democrat because the people need to know how corrupt they have become as a party.

The Liberal Propaganda Machine was Just Oiled with $100 Mil to Spend in August…They’ll be Filling TV Screens Across America

In a realm rarely experienced by many, the frivolous wealthy light Cuban cigars with Ben Franklins. The world is their pearl-filled oyster. Money talks and there isn’t much it can’t buy. Especially if you’re looking for ways to spend in the neighborhood of say…100-million George Washingtons.

Joe Biden is having one helluva time advancing whatever his real agenda is. So far the geezer hasn’t produced much evidence of even having one. Infrastructure has superseded every other ongoing crisis in the nation, including the number one chart-topper, immigration. Ignoring it isn’t going to fix it, Joe.

It’s reached the point where only the hardest of the hardcore Biden supporters are left. This is not to imply that his parties refugees have dunked their heads in Donald Trumps’ baptismal waters yet, but choruses of “I Saw the Light” are starting to be heard. Is it too early to say “We told ya so?”

Pro-Biden groups have come to the realization that there is only one way to stop the out-of-control mutiny. They’re going to prove the naysayers wrong even it takes spending $100-million in one month to do it. That’s right. They’re taking over the airwaves in this fine summer month of August, and they’re going invade living rooms everywhere.

Their devious plan is to convince lawmakers to fall in step with their make-believe agenda while Congress is on vacay, and they need your help to do it. Or someone’s help, anyway. Pelosi and crew won’t be around to make everyone else’s life miserable so urgent action must be taken. And knowing the average amount of time American’s spend glued to their widescreens, this is the opportune moment.

Since Congress won’t be around to negatively consume the news with their blunders, they’re going to take out a bunch of ads to let us know about all of the good stuff we’ve been previously unaware of. “There’s lots more going on behind the scenes than you think.”

Well. There isn’t. The bulk of it will be directed at Biden’s infrastructure plan which is inclusive of highways, transit, broadband, and not much else. They’ll be a blip or two with reference to a Democrat-backed budget reconciliation bill that deals with childcare and something else they’re calling human infrastructure. Maybe the ads will tell us what that is, but until such time, no comment can be made.

In case you only watch Netflix and miss the ads, not to worry, the libs will be bringing their dog and pony show to a town near you. As the planners devised their plot in their faux war room, someone must have suggested how nice it would be to personally ramrod their agenda. With that, they agreed to host over 1,000 events around the country, all within six weeks.

If you happen to live in the same home district as a member of Congress, may God bless you because you’re going to need it. Officials for the coalition said their goal is to literally saturate those areas to convince residents to put pressure on their representatives to get with the program.

Danielle Melfi, executive director for the Biden supporting group, Build Back Together, said, “Progressive groups are going on the offense as we lead into August recess. We know there is a groundswell of support and we want to show members that while they are back home in their districts.” A groundswell?

The Senate has already given the infrastructure plan the go-ahead so this isn’t the problem. Everyone agrees as to its importance. But. Upon Congress’s return, the debates and challenges will begin so this cannot as yet be declared a victory for them. It isn’t over till it’s over and unless the liberal coalition can muster overwhelming support for the bill in its entirety, this might take a while.

You’ve been warned. Stop what you’re doing right this moment and go buy some Rolaids. An entire case unless someone already beat you to them. Or if you’re a drinker, start your stupor now and don’t come out of it until mid-September.

Most of all, do not fall prey to the worst virus of them all. The Biden propaganda machine.

- there’s a plan underway right now to execute a “Great Reset” of America.

And by “reset”... I mean destroy every single thing we’ve done to make this country so great.

It’s starting with things like…
Handing out endless stimulus checks that destroy the value of your savings and punish hard working Americans.
Persecuting and defunding the police while your streets become a cesspool of crime.
Letting illegals flood across the border while YOU pay their free healthcare and benefits.

And these things are just the beginning.

It’s going to get far worse…

This is all being spearheaded by Biden, Kamala, and their leftist elite pals.

If you value your family’s freedom at all… you owe it to yourself to see what they’re doing and how we can stop them.

Thankfully, legendary author Damian Campbell recently released a new book that exposes the nightmarish truth about this “Great Reset” plan for the first time.

Inside, you’ll discover just how deep this evil plan goes, including how they want:
Bugs In Your Body: Their plans are to literally force you to put bugs in your body. See what kind of bugs and why they need you to be filled with them!
Complete Elimination Of Your Bank Account: You’ve worked hard to put money in your bank account...by this year you might not even be allowed to have one..
The Death of Normal Sex: To help “save the planet” they plan to control reproduction and stifle humanity at the biological level. Here’s why.

Like I said, Campbell’s new book exposes the darkest details of this horrible plot.

And if you’re one of the next 52 people to click here you can get a FREE copy that reveals everything…

And more importantly, you’ll see how to STOP them in their tracks!

And in Other News, Oz gets served NOTICE.....
Australia to pay hundreds of millions in reparations to Indigenous ‘stolen generations’

SYDNEY — Eileen Cummings was 4½ years old when a man pulled up in a truck at the cattle ranch where she lived in Australia’s remote Northern Territory, offering her a ride.

It was 1948 and it would be 15 years before she saw her mother again.

Between 1910 and 1970, government officials here rounded up children, especially those of mixed White and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ethnicity, and sent them to boarding schools and church-run missions. An official inquiry has estimated as many as one in three Indigenous children were forcibly removed from their families nationwide.

Cummings, now 78, is one of thousands of survivors of what Australia calls the “stolen generations.”

“They didn’t say anything to my mom, they just took me,” she recalled over the phone from Australia’s remote northeast on Thursday.

Australia’s federal government on Thursday agreed to pay about $280 million in reparations to survivors who were removed from their families in federally controlled areas including the Northern Territory and Australian Capital Territory. It follows similar moves by state governments including New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia in recent years.

“This is a long-called-for step,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison told lawmakers Thursday. “To say formally not just that we’re deeply sorry for what happened, but that we will take responsibility for it.”

Comparable to Native American boarding schools in the United States and the Canadian residential schools for Indigenous children, Australia’s program aimed to eliminate all traces of Indigenous culture from their wards. Their actions ended up scarring many of the children for life, wrote Australia’s Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission in a major 1997 report.

Cummings, who has been part of a decades-long campaign for reparations, was a claimant in a class action launched against the federal government in April. It governed the Northern Territory for much of the 20th century but had resisted the push for financial compensation despite then-Prime Minister Kevin Rudd making a public apology to “stolen generations” in Parliament in 2008.

“At long last the federal government has come to the party,” Cummings said Thursday.

Canada reached a settlement in 2006 under which billions of dollars have been paid to the 80,000 survivors of Indigenous residential schools. The country has faced a fresh reckoning in recent months with the discovery of scores of unmarked graves near a number of former schools.

In the United States, Congress created the Indian Claims Commission after World War II to resolve claims for compensation by federally recognized tribes for land that had been seized. More recently, after decades of work from activists pushing the issue, some lawmakers have begun addressing the issue of reparations for Black Americans who are descendants of enslaved people.

Reparations for colonial injustices also pose a significant question for European countries, many of which have benefited greatly from wealth stolen in the colonial era.

In Australia, the reparations aim to help address the loss of language, culture and family attachments that have had a lasting impact on Indigenous well-being long after the children were taken from their homes.

The country’s 800,000 Indigenous people are more likely to be hospitalized for chronic illnesses than other Australians, according to government data, and their life expectancy lags behind the wider population by years. Colonialism’s dark legacy has also contributed to racial disparities in education and housing.

Australia made a plan to protect Indigenous elders from covid-19. It worked.

Under the compensation plan, eligible survivors will receive a one-off payment of about $55,000 for the harm caused by their forced removal. It is part of a wider program to reduce the disparity between Indigenous and other Australians, known as “closing the gap.”

Some Indigenous experts and advocates worry that history is repeating itself, with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children still nearly 10 times as likely as non-Indigenous children to be removed from their homes and placed in care.

Cummings, who didn’t speak English when she was taken to a Methodist mission on an island off the northeast coast of Australia back in 1948, said she became miserable and withdrawn, often running away and hiding within the mission grounds.

She was 19 when she was finally reunited with family, in a hospital in Darwin where her mother was being treated. Her mother, Florrie, sat there, speechless, and cried, she recalled.

Is Harvard Setting America Up for More Legalized Drug Use?

The blurred line between political activism and scholarship is often hard to avoid. That tendency seems on display at Harvard University.

A Well Worn Path

The case is the “Project on Psychedelics Law and Regulation” (POPLAR). The medical school isn’t doing this research, nor is the public health faculty. The law school is behind this deeply troubling project. The “legal eagles” at Harvard are steering the nation toward a replay of the deceptive show that brought the country “medical marijuana.” Psychedelic hallucinative drugs may be the new marijuana.

The simple ploy has played out in many states across the nation. Step one popularizes the idea that the forbidden substance may have some medical value. Next, the media assert that denying beneficial effects to sufferers would be inhumane. Bills allowing “medical use” then sail through state legislatures. Profiteers then set up special “dispensaries” which can dispense the substance and quick “prescriptions” easily—often without seeing a real doctor. Finally, so many people use the substance that the state encounters little resistance in making its “recreational use” legal.

A Whole New Class of Property Law

The new Harvard project examines five “key areas” of the psychedelic drug problem. Three of these raise red flags.

The first goal is to face “Challenges at the Intersection of Psychedelics and Intellectual Property Law.” At this “intersection” lie many future investment opportunities. One major sponsor of the project is the Saisei Foundation, a Japanese firm. The POPLAR web page informs the public that the project was “Launched in summer 2021 with a generous grant from the Saisei Foundation.”

The “foundation” is not a foundation in the ordinary sense of the term. Most people link the word “foundation” with a non-profit organization. However, Bloomberg says the “Iwate Saisei Ikai Foundation was founded in 1920.” It continues, “The Company’s line of business includes providing psychiatric diagnostic medical services and inpatient treatment.”

Is Saisei Ikai financing POPLAR so that the “company” might garner some profit once psychedelics are liberated? It is a matter of concern.

Pushing Psychedelic Drugs and Equity

Another one of POPLAR’s five goals is “Access to Psychedelic Therapies and Equity in Emerging Psychedelics Industries.”

The keyword of concern in the second goal is “equity.”

Social commentators like to put labels on decades. This decade is the “woke” twenties or the “age of equity.” No academic journal or study is complete without some hand-wringing over equity. The POPLAR project is keeping up with academic fashion.

Mentioning equity calls to mind another parallel with marijuana. In 2017, the marijuana industry publication, The Cannabist, ran an article that spelled out ways in which some states and localities tilted the developing “legal” marijuana market in the direction of racial and ethnic minorities.

Oakland, California reserved “half of the city’s marijuana licenses for low-income residents who have been convicted of a cannabis crime or who live in a specified neighborhood where drug enforcement has been intense.” Florida’s legislature made “three additional cultivation licenses… available, with one of them designated for a member of the Florida Black Farmers and Agriculturists Association.” Maryland allowed “up to seven more licenses to grow marijuana with two going to… minority-owned companies.” Massachusetts, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington (State), and West Virginia also took similar steps.

The future production and use of psychedelic drugs may also find racial overtones at its intersection.

An Objective Study?

A third goal may be the reason that Harvard is allowing POPLAR to use its facilities—“Opportunities for Federal Support of Psychedelics Research.”

Since the Cold War, federal government research dollars have been “mothers’ milk” to university labs. An opportunity to drink even more deeply is not to be overlooked.

Harvard’s Dr. Mason Marks is in charge of POPLAR. He is no stranger to this field. In addition to his duties at the Harvard Law School, he is also an “affiliated fellow” at longtime rival Yale Law School’s “Information Society Project.” He also teaches Drug Law and Pharmaceutical Innovation at the University of New Hampshire.

A hallmark of academic work is objectivity. For research to be valid, the team conducting it should go where the facts lead them, without preconceived notions.

Is Dr. Marks’s “study” intellectually objective? His bio reports that “Mason’s academic research focuses on drug policy, health technology, and FDA regulation. He is particularly interested in state and federal controlled substance regulation, health privacy, and the application of artificial intelligence to medical decision making.”

Earlier this year, “Governor Kate Brown appointed Mason to the Oregon Psilocybin Advisory Board, which advises the Oregon Health Authority on the creation of a statewide psilocybin industry.” Psilocybins are naturally occurring psychedelic drugs, sometimes called “magic mushrooms,” whose use became legal in Oregon in 2020.

The Opioid Crisis: A Spiritual Solution
It seems that Dr. Marks might be an effective conduit between Harvard and those tempting “opportunities for Federal Support of Psychedelics Research.”

Pushing Ahead

The acceptance of marijuana use is a victory for the left, which has always sought its legalization. Radical libertarians joined the leftists during the nineties and successfully pushed the “medicinal marijuana” message. In many places, the “dispensaries” are now so well established that it is easy to forget that marijuana use and sale remain criminal acts under federal law.

It will be years before American society grasps the ramifications of expanded marijuana use. However, the leftists will not let the grass grow under their feet. The academics at Harvard are all too ready to push out into more treacherous and less charted waters of psychedelics.

The Moral Dimension

The goal of this research is not just profits, social justice, or government dollars. This project is an attack upon limits that keep society safe and virtuous. Behind the scholarly veneer is the cry to rid society of all restrictions so that all can live lives of frenetic intemperance.

Making Sense of the Chaos that is Destroying America
The liberals-libertarian coalition sees drug use as a “victimless crime.” They want to remove drug abuse from the moral sphere.

Such a separation is impossible. Illicit drug use mutilates both the mind and the body. It encourages other immoral behaviors. Drug abuse and crime are intimately linked, and that linkage does not vanish if “recreational use” becomes legal. Addicts consume their resources, and many then go on to theft and other criminal activities to obtain more drugs. Drug-induced paranoia is common and can cause the user to attack others physically—often resulting in permanent injury or death.

Please, Harvard University, use your resources to build a better society instead of contributing to its decay

Dr. Drew: Vaccine Passports Are ‘Modern Day Segregation’

Dr. David Drew Pinsky, better known as Dr. Drew, tweeted Wednesday that vaccine passports are “modern day segregation.”

“The CDC reported today that only 28.4% of the black community have received the Covid vaccine. With states like CA and NY mandating vaccine passports to enter restaurants and businesses, the black community would be most affected by this modern day segregation,” Dr. Drew tweeted.

Guests at Obama Birthday Party Delete Instagram Posts After Former President Seen Dancing at ‘Epic’ Bash

Recording artist Trap Beckham and his manager TJ Chapman attended former President Barack Obama’s birthday celebration in Martha’s Vineyard, and snapped photographs of the lavish event and posted them on Instagram, before being asked to remove them in accordance with the event’s photography ban.

Beckham’s reaction: “Epic night last night,” Beckham stated in a video posted the next day. “I posted some stories of myself. Didn’t think anybody gave a damn, and I guess they did. That’s not cool. That’s not cool.”

“Had to delete everything due to the rules,” Beckham said, the Post reported.

Numerous celebrities attended the event in the small township within Martha’s Vineyard known as Oak Bluffs, where guests were treated to gourmet food, high-end alcohol, and bespoke event swag celebrating Obama’s 60th birthday.

Worth noting: The Obamas decided to scale back the event amid the surge in new COVID-19 cases, but several big names were still in attendance.

The star-studded guest list reportedly included Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Bradley Cooper, Don Cheadle, Dwyane Wade, Bruce Springsteen, Erykah Badu, Steven Colbert and John Kerry, with performances by Alicia Keys, John Legend, and the rapper whose photographs were briefly posted online, Trap Beckham.

Speaking of the event, Beckham detailed, “It was epic for sure. If any videos surface it’s going viral. He danced the whole time. Nobody ever seen Obama like this before.”

See the photographs: Leaked photos of Obama’s birthday celebration can be seen below.

Want to Fly with a Gun? Here Are TSA's Rules about Transporting Firearms and Ammo

If you're traveling by air to visit family and friends this holiday season and want to bring your gun or some ammo, there are very specific rules you must follow to comply with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

If you have advice on traveling with firearms and related accessories, preferred containers, gear, etc., comment below!

The following rules are provided by TSA:

You may transport unloaded firearms in a locked hard-sided container as checked baggage only. Declare the firearm and/or ammunition to the airline when checking your bag at the ticket counter. The container must completely secure the firearm from being accessed. Locked cases that can be easily opened are not permitted. Be aware that the container the firearm was in when purchased may not adequately secure the firearm when it is transported in checked baggage.

Contact the TSA Contact Center with questions you have regarding TSA firearm regulations and for clarification on what you may or may not transport in your carry-on or checked baggage.

Firearms
When traveling, comply with the laws concerning possession of firearms as they vary by local, state and international governments.

If you are traveling internationally with a firearm in checked baggage, please check the U.S. Customs and Border Protection website for information and requirements prior to travel.

Declare each firearm each time you present it for transport as checked baggage. Ask your airline about limitations or fees that may apply.

Firearms must be unloaded and locked in a hard-sided container and transported as checked baggage only. As defined by 49 CFR 1540.5 a loaded firearm has a live round of ammunition, or any component thereof, in the chamber or cylinder or in a magazine inserted in the firearm. Only the passenger should retain the key or combination to the lock unless TSA personnel request the key to open the firearm container to ensure compliance with TSA regulations. You may use any brand or type of lock to secure your firearm case, including TSA-recognized locks.

Firearm parts, including magazines, clips, bolts and firing pins, are prohibited in carry-on baggage, but may be transported in checked baggage.

Replica firearms, including firearm replicas that are toys, may be transported in checked baggage only.

Rifle scopes are permitted in carry-on and checked baggage.

United States Code, Title 18, Part 1, Chapter 44, firearm definitions includes: any weapon (including a starter gun) which will, or is designed to, or may readily be converted to expel a projectile by the action of an explosive; the frame or receiver of any such weapon; any firearm muffler or firearm silencer; and any destructive device. As defined by 49 CFR 1540.5 a loaded firearm has a live round of ammunition, or any component thereof, in the chamber or cylinder or in a magazine inserted in the firearm.

Ammunition
Ammunition is prohibited in carry-on baggage, but may be transported in checked baggage.

Firearm magazines and ammunition clips, whether loaded or empty, must be securely boxed or included within a hard-sided case containing an unloaded firearm. Read the requirements governing the transport of ammunition in checked baggage as defined by 49 CFR 175.10 (a)(8).

Ray Chester asked a question .
So here’s my question, as beautiful as these mountains are, where would you relocate to if Cali got to much? Just wondering

Karen Day
Florida, Arkansas or Texas. If my kids and granddaughter go too!

Ron Tello Culley
On the move now to Montello, Nevada. More sticks than Hicks and plenty of land, sky and Railroad. I own a piece of it.

Now We're Heating Up Around Here.....
Trolls Continue To Be A Problem On Social Media

[DISCLAIMER] Here at The Tello Files, we encourage Rascals to flourish, Hoodlums to get ahead, Vandals to deliver social justice and Pirates to plunder. We know what a Troll is and how it feels after Midnight, in the dark, under the glow of the computer screen. It's Halloween every night in The House of Tello.

Like mythical beasts that seem to be unstoppable, trolls continue to plague social media. This isn't new of course. Long before Facebook existed, trolls were the scourge of Usenet newsgroups, web-based forums, message boards, the eBay Snake Pits and the OZRT Ghost Town Obituaries.

Even in 2020 trolls continue to be a problem.

We've all been there. Someone posts something, and someone comments that instead of being constructive or contributing to the debate simply responds in a way that is anything but productive. Reasoning and level discourse only exacerbate the situation.

In the end a post is hijacked.

Sadly the current political climate, made worse by recent events and the ongoing pandemic, has these occurrences feel even worse. The question is whether trolls were given a video game-esque "power up" in recent weeks.

"It is difficult to measure whether trolls during this crisis are worse than others, but are we seeing a lot of troll activity and misinformation," pondered Jevin West, an associate professor within the Information School at the University of Washington.  "We are swimming in a cesspool of misinformation. The pandemic likely makes it worse because increased levels of uncertainty creates the kinds of environments that trolls take advantage of."

Pandemic Trolling

The outbreak of the novel coronavirus, along with the lockdowns this spring, has certainly increased the time that people are spending in front of their screens. Because of the social distancing it could be argued we're losing sight of our social norms in the process.

On Facebook, History Can Violate Community Standards
Simply put, too often people are likely to type something they'd never say if face-to-face.

"It would make sense that the pandemic is making trolling behavior worse and widespread," explained Dr. Kent Bausman, a professor in the Online Sociology program at Maryville University.

"The overall intensity of this negative event is one current generations have never experienced," Kent added. "When you couple this with the additional and simultaneous negative event of skyrocketing unemployment, you have the perfect brew for an escalating collective negative mood. This is what spurs trolling. It is a grotesquely cathartic individual level response to the negative feelings produced by an event(s). I say grotesquely in that relief or pleasure is gained by victimizing and harassing another for their difference in opinion or feeling."

Kent warned that research indicates that trolling behavior often produces a contagion effect.

"Because so many in such a brief span of time have experienced the pandemic and indirectly the sudden increase in unemployment, the contagion effect associated with trolling behavior should be more extensive," he noted. "Therefore, what may be grotesquely cathartic at the individual level simultaneously blooms into a toxic form of expression that ultimately erodes collective good will."

Political Trolling

What has also likely played a role is that too often our elected leaders will take to social media to address issues in a way that few would have done before.

"In this particular instance, it is important to distinguish between 'everyday' trolls and trolls with a political agenda," suggested Morten Bay, research fellow at the Center for the Digital Future and a lecturer in digital and social media at USC Annenberg.

"Studies have shown that most social media users engage in a bit of trolling at some point in their life online because of the generally belligerent atmosphere on social media," said Bay. "Since the pandemic has put people on edge more – and the quarantine gives them more time to spend on social media), the tone of the everyday trolling has gotten worse."

Likewise as we near Election Day this discourse will become anything but more civil.

"Both sides are now posting misinformation about the civil unrest happening across the country," added Bay. "These trolls will insert themselves into debates on Twitter and Facebook and post disparaging comments on Instagram and TikTok to help distribute the messaging."

Social Media Has Increased The Volume

It has been said that the loudest voice in the room will drown out everyone else, and trolls certainly see this is how things work on social media. It may not be volume, but instead it is the most inflammatory or even outrageous comments. If logic, reasoning and facts don't work then they resort to anger and bullying tactics.

"The social media sphere is, at its core, a connection and amplification machine, which can be used for both bad and good," warned Bay.

"But unlike, say, the 'public square' that social media CEOs want their platforms to be, we have no established ethics for social media, and so neither platforms nor users know what can be considered good and right, except for obvious cases, like extremism and hate speech," Bay noted. "If we did, most people would know how to handle trolls best, which is to simply ignore them.

Fighting Back

While moderators on forums, chat rooms and Usenet groups had the final say, social media is a bit different. These are platforms that can already address fake news and ban users for violating community standards – so why isn't more being done specifically to trolls?

"Social media as a platform, the research tells us, has made trolling behavior more pervasive and virulent," said Kent.

"Considerable research shows how the online environment leads to a lack of inhibitions in posting behavior and adds to a sense of empowerment through the cloak of semi anonymity that comes with online posting," Kent added. "When you combine these with the lack of accountability that often comes with one's online behavior, we have emboldened people to speak in a virtual public sphere in a manner they would not otherwise do in a physical public space."

It would seem that social media has created a platform for trolls to thrive, but has done little to tame the beasts.

"Yes, social media companies should do more to address trolls, bots, and all forms of misinformation," suggested West. "In response to COVID, they are doing more than they ever have with banners and fact checking of individual posts, but the efforts are not commensurate with the scale of the problem and the impact on society."

At least some progress has been made.

"They have, at least since 2017," added Bay. "They have become much more vigilant and are quicker to examine and block fake accounts engaging in any sort of trolling behavior. But they are also under political pressure. Behind every troll account is a human being and it can be very difficult to judge whether someone is merely expressing an opinion while wanting to stay anonymous or is engaging in actual trolling behavior."

Even with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning, this can be more than most algorithms can tackle quickly or easily. And by the time it happens the troll will have struck, killed a lively discussion and moved on.

"It requires looking at that user's posting history, how the user is connected to other accounts and many other parameters that requires human intervention and moderation, since algorithmic filters don't understand sarcasm, for example," Bay noted. "Understandably, elected officials do not want their supporters to be silenced. The most obvious, high-activity trolls usually get caught at some point, though."

In the end the same tactics that were used in the 1990s in the early "frontier" days of Usenet and message boards prevail. Don't engage.

"Even those that just engage in trolling because of personal issues and the need to assert themselves get discouraged by that," said Bay. "As the old Internet saying goes, 'Don't feed the trolls!'"
