Tyrannical School Leaders Get An Unwelcome Surprise From Governor DeSantis
Perhaps one of the worst fallouts of the government-mandated COVID shutdowns has been the destruction of our children’s education. Corrupt teacher’s unions refused to go back to work during the pandemic. Even now, after over a year has passed, plenty of teachers are making it difficult for children to receive their education.
With the vaccine plentiful, there seems to be no reason students have to be shut out of school. Worried teachers can be immunized and return to work. That doesn’t seem to be good enough for Democrats and Joe Biden—who wants to jab kids just to get his vaccine numbers us.
Even worse than that are mandates that children should wear masks while in school. Uh… why? If teachers are vaxxed, where’s the threat? And we’ve all known from the start children face virtually no risks to this virus.
It seems at least one governor is pushing back on this lunacy. Yet school leaders seek to defy him, anyway. So, he has a great solution.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ office suggested withholding the paychecks of school administrators that force students to wear masks Monday…
“Education funding is intended to benefit students first and foremost, not systems,” the statement continued. “The Governor’s priorities are protecting parents’ rights and ensuring that every student has access to a high-quality education that meets their unique needs.” [Source: Daily Wire]
Many parents were upset when teachers and school boards pushed the idea that students should wear masks all day at school. It’s bad enough for adults to have to wear them for short periods at grocery stores or restaurants. But forcing children to wear masks all day long? When we know that masks quickly lose their usefulness after a short time?
Even more ridiculous is the fact that government entities are trying to steal the rights of parents. Only a parent has the power to decide the health needs of their child. A school board—which is pushed around by crooked unions—does not care about the well-being of the child. Yes, I said it. School administrators and many teachers are only concerned with protecting their system and paychecks.
