Fauci Makes a Confession That No One Saw Coming

At this point, it’s hard to find any real American willing to believe anything Anthony Fauci says. He’s been in the public eye since the start of the pandemic, but little of what he says can be trusted.

Even he admitted to lying to the American public several times. And after his emails were released via the press, we learned that this man—despite his “experience”—should not be trusted.

The heat was turned up when leaders like Sen. Rand Paul called for a criminal investigation against Fauci. The senator is convinced Fauci’s institute funded the Chinese lab that leaked COVID-19 and that Fauci lied about it under oath.

We all had a feeling Fauci was putting his political career ahead of public health concerns. And now, he’s admitting it.

Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted Monday he is playing politics with Americans’ health regarding the Chinese coronavirus.

“I don’t want to get into the politics, but sometimes you almost have to,” Fauci stated to USA Today when asked what he thought of those who are forming their own opinions about coronavirus vaccine and mask mandates…

“A day doesn’t go by that some congressman, some senator propagates something that is completely misleading and completely untrue,” Fauci added. [Source: Breitbart]

Fauci is admitting that because some lawmakers and leaders disagree with him, he has to get political in order to save his reputation.

He said during an interview that “sometimes you have to” get into politics. Why? He is supposed to be advising the country on ways to battle a disease. Why should politics have anything to do with that? So what if there are some politicians pushing back or disagreeing. Does that mean a medical expert should play political games, when he should just talk about medicine?

From the very beginning, we could see Fauci put politics ahead of our health. Pushing radical policies like lockdowns and masks played into the left’s hands—since they blamed the pandemic on Trump. Fauci continued to milk the left’s approval of him, so he could get more screen time and attention.

It’s hard not to assume he was doing all this, not for the good of the country, but the good of his bank account and persona.

But the fallout is coming hard and fast. Outside of the liberal media bubble, Americans don’t trust him. Many believe he helped fund the lab that produced COVID-19 and unleashed it onto the world. His credibility is shot, thanks to his history of lying.

And if he did lie to Congress while under oath, he could face serious charges. The best thing he can do now is stop the interviews and appearances and just focus on medicine again.

With Handouts Running Out, People Suddenly Find Jobs
Democrat giveaways are still exacerbating unemployment, but the tide is finally turning.

The U.S. economy created a robust 943,000 jobs in July, the best total since last August. In completely unrelated news, enhanced unemployment benefits ended in many states and will for all states in September, and until the last minute most tenants were operating under the presumption that they’d actually have to start paying rent or face eviction. We kid about this being unrelated, of course. These are the reasons people are finally going back to work. They have to.

President Joe Biden was happy to claim credit for the jobs report. “More than 4 million jobs created since we took office,” he posted on social media. “It’s historic — and proof our economic plan is working.”

What’s Biden’s plan? To spend the nation into oblivion, exploiting the coronavirus pandemic to enact much of the radical Left’s agenda items.

Want a $15 an hour minimum wage but can’t get Congress to pass it? “Enhance” unemployment benefits to equal or exceed $15 an hour, and then extend those benefits for months after lockdowns were lifted. People won’t go back to work for a long time, and when they finally do they won’t accept less than $15 an hour. Boom. Policy achieved.

Just don’t mind the rampant inflation caused by supply chain issues resulting from a lack of workers, followed by the higher costs businesses face (and pass on to customers) just to employ the workers they can actually find. (There are a record 10.1 million job openings.) Oh, and that inflation is chewing up real wage gains.

Want to create a new entitlement? Illegally extend an eviction moratorium and pay people to not pay their rent. It’s equivalent to expanding public housing.

Want to create universal basic income by default? Send “emergency” Biden bucks to most Americans nearly a year after the emergency. And then send parents with dependents default monthly checks that advance the child tax credit (which will reduce refunds or result in tax bills come filing time, but don’t mind that just yet). For those who don’t want this money now, opting out is a huge pain. And the Democrats’ budget reconciliation bill makes this “temporary” program permanent.

Want to forgive student loans? Soften the beaches by extending forbearance through January. Congress did this in March 2020 to alleviate the burden for borrowers losing jobs to government-imposed lockdowns. Is this still justifiable? Not according to the Wall Street Journal editorial board, which notes, “The unemployment rate among bachelor’s degree recipients was 3.1% in July.”

Never mind that. Biden just made it so that forbearance will drag on for nearly two years. Next up: Total loan forgiveness, just as Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren wanted. Who won the Democrat presidential primary again?

We’ll close with another important point. President Donald Trump’s policies resulted in soaring jobs numbers for minorities, especially blacks. Under Joe “You Ain’t Black” Biden? Not so much. Among all demographic groups, blacks were the only ones who saw a decline in labor force participation in July. Is this the “equity” he keeps talking about? Or is this what “systemic racism” looks like?

Chicago Public Schools To Distribute Bulletproof Masks

CHICAGO, IL—With kids 15 and under being killed at a rate three times higher than in 2020, the Windy City’s public schools have begun preparations for the school year by distributing bulletproof masks to children.

The state’s school board voted unanimously to require masks with two layers of cloth to offer protection from the dangerous COVID-19 Delta Variant as well as a Kevlar layer to protect against slightly less dangerous bullets.

Mayor Lori Lightfoot, a fierce defender of school children when permitted to be by teachers unions, announced the plan to distribute the extra-safe masks in response to the unprecedented increase in violent crime.

Some legal experts have argued that Big Tech platforms have legal immunity for their actions.

But if it’s found that politicians have pressured Big Tech platforms to do the Biden administration’s bidding by suppressing opposition free speech, it could spell trouble for Democrats.

It is unconstitutional for the government to engage in a deliberate agreement with a private entity to abridge the First Amendment.

In other words, the government can’t bypass the First Amendment rights of Americans because they have allies at Facebook and Twitter.

It’s Over! NY Governor Andrew Cuomo Resigns In Disgrace

Embattled New York Governor Andrew Cuomo resigned today over allegations of sexual harassment. This makes him the third NY Democratic governor to resign before his term ended over a scandal.

The Democrat New York governor filed his resignation, which will be effective in two weeks. In a press conference, Cuomo said that “New York tough means New York loving, and I love New York and I love you.” He then continued by saying he didn’t want to be unhelpful in any way. He added that resigning is the best way to help now.

The governor then apologized for any behavior deemed inappropriate during his term. However, he remained defiant against the sexual harassment allegations brought forward by state Attorney General Letitia James.

Andrew Cuomo Accuses State Attorney General of Bias
Cuomo accused state investigators of bias. He said that the report saying that he sexually harassed 11 women over a period of seven years is unfair. He deplored the “lack of fairness in the justice system” which is a major concern.

“When there is a bias or a lack of fairness in the justice system, it is a concern for everyone. There is a difference between alleged improper conduct and concluding sexual harassment. Now, don’t get me wrong, this is not to say that there are 11 women who I truly offended. There are, and I deeply, deeply apologize,” Andrew Cuomo said. He later admitted that he made jokes and gave people hugs and kisses, both men and women.

Cuomo started his announcement attesting to his outdated beliefs. “I have slipped and called people ‘honey, ’sweetheart’ and ‘darling,’” he said. Then, he continued by defending his actions.

“I mean it to be endearing but women found it dated and offensive.”. Cuomo then proceeded to own up to his mistakes, even without admitting them. “I take full responsibility for my actions. I have been too familiar with people.

My sense of humor can be insensitive and off-putting,” he added. “In my mind, I’ve never crossed the line with anyone, but I didn’t realize the extent to which the line has been redrawn. There are generational and cultural shifts that I just didn’t fully appreciate. And I should have, no excuses,” Cuomo said. 

Earlier, Andrew Cuomo Refused To Resign
Previously, Andrew Cuomo denied the accusations and refused to resign when officials called out to him. However, the New York State Assembly Judiciary Committee expects to wrap up its own probe on the sexual harassment allegations.

As a result, Cuomo resigned even as he continues to deny the accusations. Meanwhile, Cuomo’s lawyer Rita Glavin joined his client’s in accusing bias at the state attorney general’s office. She said that investigators ignored evidence that didn’t fit their narrative. She added that the media created a “feeding frenzy” over the findings instead of sticking to the facts.

Cuomo Lawyer ‘Politicizing’ The Process
In response, state attorney general Fabien Levy criticized Andrew Cuomo’s lawyer. He described Glavin’s characterization of the investigation as unfortunate. “After multiple women made accusations that Gov. Cuomo sexually harassed them, the governor himself requested that Attorney General James oversee an independent investigation.

The independent investigators selected are widely respected professionals, recognized for their legal and investigatory ability. To attack this investigation and attempt to undermine and politicize this process takes away from the bravery displayed by these women,” Levy added.

Jen Psaki doesn't like being called 'nice' — it's sexist and diminishing

In a glowing feature article published Monday, Vogue described White House press secretary Jen Psaki as warm, humorous, intelligent, and edgy. But one thing reporter Lizzie Widdicombe didn't call her was "nice" — and it's a good thing she didn't. That's not a descriptive word Psaki is particularly fond of. In fact, she thinks it's sexist.

Vogue's article began by fawning over Psaki, 42, in a way that was to be expected from a liberal publisher that took a "four-year hiatus" from the White House during Donald Trump's presidency.

Widdicombe described Psaki's first press briefing as one that earned a "collective swoon" from reporters. A reception "largely due to what she was not doing: berating the assembled reporters, griping about CNN's coverage of a presidential tweet, or spouting flagrant, easily disprovable lies."

"She had a mixture of warmth, humor, intelligence, and edge," Widdicombe said of the Biden official.

But lest any readers start to think of her as a "pushover," the article made sure to include ample descriptions of Psaki's toughness and resolve. Former colleague David Axelrod noted that she is "unflappable" and "has a steel rod for a spine."

One such example apparently occurred at the White House recently when someone introducing Psaki to a foreign delegation made the horrible mistake of describing her as "a really nice person."

She tells me that she hates when people describe her as "nice." "It is like nails on a chalkboard," she says. "And it still happens. I was introduced to a foreign delegation in the hallway the other day as 'This is Jen. You may have seen her do the briefings. She's a really nice person.' I'm like, Really? You can't think of a better description?"

The word is sexist and a little diminishing, but, she says, "it's also this desire to put people in a box. Yes, sometimes I'm friendly and joyful, and sometimes I'm tough, and sometimes I'm straightforward." After shadowing Psaki for a bit, I start to think that her real gift is her ability to be several of these things at the same time.

Many of her cheerful quips are actually ways of shutting down a line of questioning. When there's information the administration is not ready to share yet, she'll respond with a chipper "Stay tuned!" or "Buckle up!" Or she'll brush aside questions about tense dealmaking by chirping, "Democracy in action!"

Hot Air writer Karen Townsend, in her coverage of the Vogue article, notes that "most people would appreciate the description" since "it's a personal acknowledgment, not a comment on her professional abilities" nor a "dismissive remark."

But not to Psaki, who reportedly thinks being called "nice" is restrictive, sexist, and diminishing. It's a wonder what she thinks of "sweet" or "kind."

Chicago Police Superintendent David Brown is speaking out about anti-cop rhetoric in the wake of a shooting that left one police officer dead and another in critical condition.

Brown made the comments in a press conference announcing that three individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with the shooting: two brothers who were allegedly directly involved with the shooting and a third person who is suspected of supplying the brothers with an illegal weapon.


“’I think that the people of Chicago need to pray, not only for the recovery of our officer who is fighting for his life’ but also for other officers on the street doing the job, Brown said, lamenting what he called low support for the police from the public and members of the media, who often focus on police reform issues and not acts of heroism,” the Chicago Tribune said late Monday.

“It’s past time to stop this, you know, imbalanced treatment of police officers here in Chicago and everywhere in this country,” Brown added. “We’re flawed. Just like the media gallery is flawed. Just like every profession in our country is flawed. But they go down dark alleys none of you would go down to protect you.”

Brown said that investigators do not yet know why Officer Ella French and her partner pulled over an SUV on Chicago’s south side Friday night around 9 pm.

Body came footage “shows the three occupants were out or in the process of being taken out of the vehicle when [first suspect] Eric Morgan ran, leading one officer to chase and apprehend him nearby,” according to Chicago police sources who spoke to the outlet. “The second suspect, Emonte Morgan, pulled away from French and made a move back toward the inside of the vehicle. As the officers tried to apprehend him, he allegedly fired a gun, striking both officers.”

Morgan was wounded in the altercation. Both officers were also wounded. French died of her injuries at a nearby hospital. Her partner is still recovering but his condition is reportedly improving.

“Emonte Morgan, 21, is charged with first-degree murder in Saturday’s fatal shooting of 29-year-old officer Ella French, as well as attempted murder and other charges,” Fox News added. “His brother, 22-year-old Eric Morgan, faces charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and obstruction of justice.”

Federal prosecutors have also charged an “Indiana man who allegedly told investigators he was in a relationship with one of the brothers, with straw-purchasing the gun that was ultimately used to kill French,” per the Tribune. The suspect gave the weapon to one of the Morgan brothers after buying it under “false pretenses” in Indiana.

French was the first Chicago Police Officer killed in the line of duty since 2018, and the first female cop to lose her life on the job since the late 1990s.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has been largely silent on the incident since Monday, after a group of officers, standing watch over their colleague outside his hospital room, turned their back on the mayor when she paid a visit to the recovering officer.

“Lightfoot was given the cold shoulder by CPD rank and file about midnight Saturday at the University of Chicago Medical Center when she approached them on the 7th floor as they grappled with the shootings of two fellow officers,” the Chicago Sun-Times reported, per The Daily Wire.

“Just moments before about 30 officers turned their backs on the mayor, Lightfoot tried to talk to the male officer’s father, who himself is a retired Chicago police officer. He clearly wanted nothing to do with Lightfoot, according to two sources who were there. The father excoriated the mayor and blamed her for what had happened.”

Leaked Email Reportedly Reveals Biden Admin’s Plan to Introduce Kids to Vaccination

Newsmax’s Benny Johnson has posted a purported email the White House has been sending to social media influences, asking them to join the push for vaccinations among younger people.

The story: Johnson posted an image of a letter that, according to Johnson, a PR team that has been purportedly working with the White House sent to TikTok influences, offering them a one-on-one call with White House chief medical advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci.

The email suggests that they would talk about the pandemic and vaccinations and says that the goal of the meeting would be to “educate young people around the vaccine as there is a massive need to grow awareness within the 12-25 age demo.”

The email is marked “CONFIDENTIAL” and notes that it is “not for public distribution.”

“We have a highly sensitive (but pretty incredible) opportunity we’d love to discuss for [redacted]. We have been working with Dr. Fauci and The White House,” the email reads, pointing to a piece in The New York Times, which identified the PR firm as Village Marketing, an influencer marketing agency, “and handpicked select influences to do an intimate 1×1 Zoom call with Dr. Fauci.”

“The goal is to have [redacted] ask questions on behalf of [redacted] community and educate young people around the vaccine as there is a massive need to grow awareness within the 12-25 age demo.”

“The White House team and our team agree that give [redacted] voice and influence within this crucial demo, [redacted] would be great for this special opportunity.”

The email concluded by asking the recipient to respond to the request.

How we got here: The email comes after the White House drew mounting backlash for a video posted online by social media comedian Benito Skinner, known by his stage name Benny Drama, who was recruited as part of the digital push to convince the COVID-19 vaccine-hesitant population to get vaccinated.

The video casts Skinner as a young White House intern named Kooper who works for press secretary Jen Psaki and shows a compilation of “a day in the life” as Kooper as an intern.

At one point in the video, Psaki tells Kooper that “we’ve vaccinated 160 million Americans.”

According to the Times, the White House has required more than 50 Twitch streamers, YouTubers, TikTokers, including singer Olivia Rodrigo to promote COVID-19 youth vaccination.

‘I’m Not Sure When YouTube Became An Arm Of The Government’: Rand Paul Slaps Back After YouTube Suspension

Last week, Senator Rand Paul was reportedly censored by YouTube following an interview with a Newsmax journalist, during which they discussed “a variety of topics, including the science behind masks.”

According to Senator Paul’s office, the video was removed by YouTube, with his account suspended from posting any new videos for seven days.

“Censorship by YouTube is very dangerous as it stifles debate and promotes groupthink where the ‘truth’ is defined by people with a political agenda,” Senator Paul stated in a video message which responded to YouTube’s alleged actions.

The video, titled “It Is Time For Unfiltered News,” was also removed by YouTube. “This video has been removed for violating YouTube’s Community Guidelines,” stated the Google-owned Big Tech giant.

“YouTube said the video violated their policy because of my comments on masks, and that they don’t allow videos that contradict government’s guidance on COVID,” Senator Paul stated in the now-deleted response video.

During a press call earlier on Tuesday, Senator Paul condemned the apparent link between Big Tech corporations, such as YouTube, and the country’s legislature.

“I’m not sure when YouTube became an arm of the government, and I’m not really sure it’s good for journalism to also be an arm of the government without any repercussions or push back,” Senator Paul said.

While some conservative voices are calling for Big Tech to be reined in through various forms of legislative action, Senator Paul discussed an alternative approach.

“My hope is that maybe through competition we’ll prove them to be wrong in their ways,” he said.

Senator Paul also referenced the challenging intersection between the rights of private companies to censor content or ban users, and the pursuit of free speech.

“As a libertarian-leaning Senator, I think private companies have the right to ban me if they want to, but I think it is really anti-free speech, anti-progress of science, which involves skepticism and argumentation to arrive at the truth,” Senator Paul said. “We realize this in our court systems that both sides present facts on either side of a question and complete an adversarial process to reach the truth in each case.”

Senator Paul then moved to link this debate to the field of journalism.

“Journalism isn’t far from that and in some ways, the adversarial part of the courtroom is ideally what you would find in journalism, where both sides would present facts, there is a period of argumentation and people figure out the truth for themselves,” he said. “YouTube and Google though, have become an entity so huge that they think they are the arbitrator of truth.”

Senator Paul concluded by directly referencing the ongoing effort to “break up” Big Tech corporations.

“I will try to channel my anger, not in breaking these companies up but by publicly expressing my disagreement with them and publicly promoting other channels that offer free speech alternatives,” he said.

Twitter Proves Once and For All That They Won’t Listen to Science

Twitter is supposed to be a social media platform where people can share their ideas, thoughts, and theories. Yet, it’s also become a place where people source critical information. It has led CEO Jack Dorsey to police the comments so that misinformation isn’t spread.

What defines misinformation, though? Is it false information or is it simply information that goes against the liberal agenda?

The latter is the way that Twitter has chosen to define misinformation, which means that accurate information is being flagged and deleted. People with a wealth of accurate, important information are being silenced on Twitter because they’re telling millions of Americans the truth.

When did social media platforms turn into a skit of A Few Good Men where Jack Dorsey is suddenly screaming “You can’t handle the truth!”?

This is the world that we now live in. Liberals are determining what truth will and will not be published. Twitter has decided once and for all to throw science right out the window. The proof became irrefutable when they kicked Erick Erickson off of Twitter.

Erickson is a longtime contributor to RedState, a right-leaning online publication. He is not only the editor in chief but also the host of “The Erick Erickson Show.” Twitter locked him out of his account because of a tweet sent out to nearly 200,000 followers.

The tweet was neither false nor offensive. As far as anyone can figure out, it doesn’t go against the terms and conditions that Dorsey and his team of fact-checkers love to hide behind, either.

What was the tweet? He shared a link that said, “Laurel Hubbard is a man even if Twitter doesn’t like it.”

Laurel Hubbard is a trans-gender weightlifter who has risen to fame after competing in the Olympics for New Zealand. By all scientific aspects of defining gender, Hubbard is a male. The only difference is that he/she identifies as a woman.

There’s no science that makes Hubbard a woman. The science is that he/she is a man. Hubbard cannot go to a gynecologist because of lacking the necessary anatomy. As a result, he/she would have to go to a urologist instead because of having certain anatomy.

All Erickson was doing was identifying a scientific fact. Although Twitter and plenty of trans/gender activists aren’t happy with it, the reality is that it is based solely on science.

Erickson isn’t the only one to have a Twitter account suspended over scientific facts shared about Hubbard. The liberal-leaning social media platform has decided that they’ll delete any and all comments that paint Hubbard in a male light. Allie Beth Stuckey, a conservative commentator also landed herself in Twitter jail for “hateful conduct.”

Stuckey managed to get out of jail, where she promptly tweeted that “men are still men.”

There’s been a lot of talk about Hubbard because of being allowed to compete against women while still being a man. Mindset alone doesn’t change a person’s biological sex.

With Twitter deciding that they’ll rule against science all the time, what are we supposed to do? Misinformation is running rampant on the platform because they’re allowing people to believe that a man competing against a woman is okay as long as the man says that he thinks of himself as a woman.

Science? Who needs science? We do, yet Twitter won’t allow us to share our thoughts anymore. At this point, will we ever get to voice real opinions anymore or will we have to become puppets to liberal thoughts?

During the pandemic, DeSantis kept Florida’s schools and economy open while also not mandating masks.

DeSantis’ science-based approach led Florida to achieve better outcomes than blue states like New York and California that locked down and mandated masks.

In turn, DeSantis’ poll numbers with Republicans skyrocketed and DeSantis is now considered the frontrunner for the 2024 GOP nomination should Donald Trump not run again.

The media considers DeSantis a threat and now members of the corporate-controlled media are out to take him down.

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski became the latest corporate-controlled media activist to try and blame Florida’s seasonal COVID surge in cases on DeSantis’ refusal to mandate masks or lockdown businesses, calling DeSantis a leader of a “death cult.”

“[T]hese same ghoulish death cult figures are fighting vaccines, local control over school safety, and the right for businesses to protect their workers and customers,” Brzezinski declared. “Fed by disinformation from Facebook and crazed politicians — crazed — 70% of Americans who tell pollsters they will not get the vaccine support Republicans,” Brzezinski began.

Brzezinski claimed DeSantis following the science and not mandating masks in classrooms because schools are not vectors of viral spread was “playing politics.”

“We have a Governor more interested in playing politics than saving lives — the DeSantis variant,” Brzezinski added. “That’s why one in four new COVID cases are coming out of Florida, And why many of their emergency rooms are once again jam-packed, and the state is weeks away from yet another full-blown medical crisis. Are you kidding me? This is completely preventable. And the Governor of Florida owns this one.”

Brzezinski then falsely claimed DeSantis led Floridians to not take the coronavirus vaccine even though DeSantis routinely praises the vaccine and promotes its safety and effectiveness.

“The most tragic part of this story is that almost all of these hospitalizations and deaths would have and could have been avoided if misguided Americans had not followed the crazed teachings of a growing death cult and instead just followed the advice of their family doctor. It’s not pretty, and they won’t do it. That’s death cult material,” Brzezinski stated.

The corporate-controlled media views Ron DeSantis as a threat to the Democrats’ holding on to power in 2024.

And members of the press are trying to turn DeSantis’ strength – his response to the coronavirus pandemic – into a weakness.

The Denver Department of Public Safety told Executive Director Murphy Robinson to "ensure" all sheriffs and police officers are "in compliance" with getting the COVID jab. Officers who are not injected will face "discipline, up to and including termination."

One early poll of an auxiliary group of these officers found that 72% "would not get a COVID-19 vaccine if forced to as a condition of staying employed." Even though the department claims to give religious and medical exemptions, we are seeing a growing number of these exemptions being denied in all types of businesses and schools.

Florida Health Department calls out CDC after agency pushed false claim that state set daily COVID case record: 'Wrong again'

The Florida Department of Health fired back at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention late Monday after the national public health agency amplified false information about the COVID-19 surge in the Sunshine State.

What did the CDC claim?
As the White House and Democrats continue targeting Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for his leadership amid the COVID pandemic, the CDC claimed Monday that Florida recorded 28,317 daily COVID cases on Sunday, Aug. 8.

The number, if true, would have set a new record for daily cases in Florida.

But what is the truth?
According to the Florida Department of Health, the CDC circulated not just a misleading number but one that was entirely false. The state health agency said the CDC combined multiple days worth of cases and reported that number as a single-day count.

"Wrong again. The number of cases @CDCgov released for Florida today is incorrect. They combined MULTIPLE days into one," the FDOH said. "We anticipate CDC will correct the record."

In fact, Florida recorded 15,319 COVID cases on Sunday, more than 13,000 fewer than what the CDC claimed. The three-day average over the weekend was 18,795 daily cases, the FDOH said.

It's not clear why the CDC published a miscalculation.

According to the Miami Herald, the CDC published the figure after combining, then dividing, the weekend case total.

One lawyer noted that the CDC has been updating Florida's case numbers from the weekend on Tuesdays, making Monday's update uncharacteristic. Still, the lawyer explained the CDC has been adding Florida's weekend total, then dividing it by the number of weekend days to formulate an average number of daily weekend cases.

The FDOH confirmed this is how COVID case reporting works for weekend data.

"Florida follows CDC guidelines reporting cases Monday through Friday, other than holidays. Consequently, each Monday or Tuesday, there will be two or three days of data reported at a time," the agency explained. "When data is published, it is attributed evenly to the previous days."

Why the weekend total was seemingly divided by two, instead of three, is not clear.

A spokeswoman for DeSantis wrote from her personal Twitter account Tuesday that she does not believe the CDC intentionally reported miscalculated figures, but called on the agency to immediately correct its data.

"To be clear: I don't have any evidence that the CDC reported the wrong COVID case number for Florida intentionally," Christina Pushaw said. "It could have been an honest mistake, so I don't want to jump to conclusions. But to clear things up, @CDCgov needs to correct the record & explain to the public."

Explosive New COVID Study Makes Liberal Heads Explode

Right now, some Democrats are mulling over pushing new COVID restrictions over the scary “Delta variant.” Some counties and even a state or two, want to go back to demanding people wear masks. Some fear they might go back to even stricter rules.

But the moves obviously contradict their own narrative: that the vaccine works and should be taken by all. If the vaccine is so effective, why are Democrats punishing people who have complied and received the jab?

More than that, it’s worth taking a look at all the bogus restrictions and mandates states forced on Americans over the last year and a half. Did they really help “slow the spread” of this disease? And how did states with fewer restrictions fair? Well, a new study has come out that Democrats won’t like one bit.

The study… compared four states: Tennessee and Georgia, which had more relaxed leadership during the height of the pandemic, and Michigan and Kentucky, which were marked by heavy-handed, and sometimes unconstitutional safety orders. The study observed the economic and health impacts of the states’ responses to the pandemic…

Tennessee’s and Georgia’s economies were less impacted and lost fewer jobs during the pandemic than Kentucky and Michigan, which implemented more economic restrictions.

The biggest difference was in Labor Force Participation Rates, with Kentucky and Michigan experiencing a drop in labor force participation roughly four times greater than Tennessee and Georgia.

This kind of data Democrats are fighting very hard to hide. But it’s not even the first study to look at this.

States that pushed harsher lockdowns, banning churches, schools, and businesses—obviously suffered much worse economic hardships. Kentucky and Michigan experienced a drop in labor four times worse than Tennessee and Georgia.

What’s even more eye-opening, and perhaps more important than anything else, is that when TN and GA reopened, there was not a “significant change” in new COVID-19 positives.

That suggests that lockdown measures and other government mandates did nothing to control the infection rate.

We’ve seen that repeated in nearly every state that has been closely watched. Factors that influenced the spread of COVID were unrelated to lockdown rules or other restrictions. In fact, it seemed the more a governor pushed lockdowns, the faster the virus spread. Proving the lockdowns were not helping.

What does this mean for the future? Well, we can’t expect Democrats to look at this data and actually do anything about it. But conservative lawmakers and state leaders can push back against demands they return to the medieval-style practices of forced lockdowns and mask mandates.

The only things that seemed to impact the spread of COVID have been vaccinations and plain old herd immunity. Anyone that suggests otherwise could be pushing a political agenda.
