Hell Freezes Over: Lefty Media Accuse Biden of Lying, ‘Badly Mis-Assessing’ Afghanistan Pull-Out

When the mainstream media is basically calling a Democrat president a liar and describing his handling of a foreign policy issue as a “disaster,” you know things are really bad.

President Joe Biden FINALLY found time out of his busy sleep schedule to give a brief press conference on Friday to Americans concerned about reports that there are thousands of U.S. citizens still stuck in Afghanistan after the Biden administration’s hampered military pullout of the country.

Throughout this whole debacle, Biden and his team seemed to have had no coherent plan on leaving the nation besides packing up abruptly and leaving billions of dollars in military resources behind, as well as ditching thousands of Americans and our Afghan allies in enemy territory. It’s frankly appalling. And Sleepy Joe’s latest press conference didn’t seem to calm any fears, even among the liberal journalists that usually go to bat so hard for him.

CDC Caught In Massive Coronavirus Coverup Involving Kids

Although one principle mentioned in the debate over students wearing masks is that such a move will limit the spread of covid-19, the research that these recommendations rested on never came to this conclusion.

The torturous document trail of science was explored by David Zweig in NY magazine, starting with a May study given by the CDC.

Toward the close of the multi-page document concerning research of schools in Georgia, the report mentions elementary school students and masks.

“The 21% less incidence in schools that force masks among kids was not statistically significant when compared to schools where masks were optional,” the CDC said.

“This finding could be attributed to greater effectiveness of masks for adults, who are at a higher risk for getting infected but might also come from differences in mask-wearing among students who in classrooms with optional mask wearing.”

Biden Suddenly Changes His Mind About Afghanistan

President Biden this Sunday said the deployment of United States troops in Afghanistan might be extended beyond the Aug. 31 date to help in the evacuation of Americans and Afghan allies.

“There are talks happening about extending,” Biden stated during a White House media conference. “Our hope is we won’t have to extend. But there is talk goin on, I suspect, on how far we are in the process.”

President Biden maintained that he thinks that all needed evacuations could be completed by Aug. 31 and that the evacuation could be ramping up.

Twenty-three United States military flights and 35 coalition aircraft were used to evacuate around 7,800 personnel from Afghanistan from Aug. 21 to Aug. 22, according to the Biden Admin.

In total, around 30,000 personnel were evacuated since July.

Jake Sullivan, who is Biden’s National Security advisor, admitted when he was pressed on the question about how many Americans and allies are still there, Sullivan said, “we do not know exactly.”

Late night’s regular so-called funny men may not be interested in the foibles of the Biden administration, but old school stand-up Larry the Cable Guy is happy to pick up their slack.

On August 15, as the situation on the ground in Afghanistan was unraveling, the Blue Collar Comedy veteran quipped, “Our country’s leadership right now reminds me of a wal-mart on Black Friday when only 2 cashiers are working and no one can find a manager.”

A couple of days later, his humor grew even more pointed.

Responding to a post about the U.N. ambassador’s comment that due to “a very strongly worded press statement” the Biden admin, “[expects] the Taliban to respect women’s rights” and ” be respectful of humanitarian law,” Larry cracked, “Nothing scares terrorists more than a strongly worded press statement.”

The voice of Mater in Pixar’s “Cars” franchise has also talked about other cultural issues, saying of news that Christian Baker Jack Phillips is being dragged into court by LGBT activists again, “Because nothing says my beliefs are being violated like going out of your way to violate other people’s beliefs.”

He even retweeted video of Daily Wire personality Matt Walsh taking a Nashville school board to task over mask mandates — the same video that landed singer Carrie Underwood in hot water with the Left after she “liked” it on Twitter.

Not that Larry, whose real name is Daniel Lawrence Whitney, is a partisan hack. He happily lampoons the right side of the political aisle as well, joking, “Wait… I thought Pence was the first humanoid Robot,” to a story about Elon Musk’s new robot technology.

As The Daily Wire has reported, over the last few years, Larry has become known for his willingness to voice opinions and make jokes few in show business would dare. In the past, he tried to explain Donald Trump’s appeal to the working class, saying, “Here’s why I like Trump, because he’s shoving a knife right into Political Correctness … And people will finally realize that’s why he’s popular. Because people are sick and tired of that garbage.”

Last March, he scoffed at a video that showed A-list stars like Gal Gadot, Natalie Portman, and Will Ferrell singing John Lennon’s communist manifesto, “Imagine,” to ostensibly show the public that Hollywood was united with them in COVID isolation.

“Here’s a message from people with a lot of possessions that can take a year off of work and not flinch telling everyone [outta] work to imagine a world with no possessions while people are living in the street a half mile away from ‘em,” Larry tweeted at the time. “They’re clueless.”

Even if he’s now worth an estimated $60 million, the long-time comedian seems to have the pulse of the blue collar set off stage as well as on.

Biden Administration Advises States On How To Extend Unemployment Benefits, Despite Record Number Of Available Jobs

Labor and Treasury officials advised states to use pandemic funds to continue paying out unemployment benefits after they’ve expired even as a record 10 million new jobs remain available.

The Biden administration last week told lawmakers in a letter it is “appropriate” for expanded unemployment benefits to expire on September 6th.

More than 11 million jobless workers could see their jobless benefits expire or see their aid reduced by $300 a week.

But that didn’t stop them from offering a workaround.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Labor Secretary Marty Walsh sent a letter to Senate Finance Committee Chairman Ron Wyden and House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Richard Neal advising on ways to circumvent the expiration date set by Congress.

“The American Rescue Plan allocated $350 billion to state and local governments to support communities’ continuing response to the pandemic, address its economic impacts, and lay the groundwork for a strong and equitable recovery,” the letter reads.

“Now, in states where a more gradual wind-down of income support for unemployed workers makes sense based on local economic conditions, American Rescue Plan funds can be activated to cover the cost of providing assistance to unemployed workers beyond Sept. 6,” they write.

Border Patrol agents say they aren’t allowed to do their job, feel ‘downtrodden, almost dead inside’

There were 212,672 people apprehended at the United States southern border in July, the highest number in 21 years and a 13% increase from June. There were more than 19,000 unaccompanied children detained at the border, likely the second-highest total on record, according to the Associated Press. The massive influx of illegal immigrants arrived during some of the hottest summer weeks, which is typically when border crossings decrease due to the scorching heat. The overwhelming flood of illegal immigrants and the lack of tools to do their job has allegedly crushed the morale of U.S. Border Patrol agents.

Members of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection claim that the Biden administration has handcuffed their agents, which, in turn, has reportedly demoralized the agents trusted to protect the borders of the U.S.

“Morale is in the toilet,” Jon Anfinsen, a spokesman for the Border Patrol’s union, told the Washington Examiner. “Morale is low because agents aren’t allowed to do their job — if our job is to be out patrolling the border in between the ports of entry and actively searching for people who have crossed illegally, but we’re not allowed to go do that job, it basically creates this defeated feeling in everyone.”
