LATE SEASON STORM TO BRING RAIN AND SNOW TO SOCAL
A late season storm will bring rain and snow tonight (Thu) and Friday before warming up over the weekend. The snow level will start out above 7000 feet this evening and fall to around 5500 feet Friday morning.
IMPACTS / FORECAST:
Isolated light showers beginning this evening, becoming heavier and more widespread tonight into Friday morning. Showers becoming isolated again and tapering off Friday afternoon. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms tonight into Friday morning. Isolated higher rainfall amounts will occur with thunderstorms. Snow level will start out above 7000 feet lowering to around 5500 feet on Friday morning.
• Wind Advisory in Effect until 3pm on Friday
• Rain and snow above 5,500 ft this evening through Friday.
• Periods of gusty west to northwest winds in the mountains, deserts and coastal waters through Friday night.
• Wind gusts 40 to 55 mph expected. Isolated gusts to 70 mph on the desert mountain slopes and through the San Gorgonio Pass.
• Plan for winter weather driving conditions in our local mountains. CARRY CHAINS.
• Difficult driving conditions for high profile vehicles. Visibility reduced in blowing dust and sand in the deserts.

• Coasts/Valleys: 0.10-0.30"
• Mountains: 0.30-0.60", locally up to 1.00" on the coastal slopes
• High Desert: 0.01-0.10"
• Low Desert: 0.00-0.05"
FORECAST SNOW AMOUNTS
Snow levels starting near 7,000 ft this evening, falling to around 5,500 ft Friday morning.
• 5,500-6,000 ft: Trace
• 6,000-7,000 ft: 1-3" (This means YOU, Tello)
• Above 7,000 ft: 3-7"
