Loesch rips ‘Mitt Romneys’ in GOP ‘lecturing’ conservatives: Disney started this war and we’re sick of being screwed!
April 22, 2022

Conservative radio and TV firebrand Dana Loesch literally dragged what she called “a bunch of Mitt Romneys” on the right who are slamming Florida conservatives for fighting back against Disney leftists and “salting the Earth” after they attacked parental rights.

“On ‘salting the earth’ re Disney and DeSantis? Conservatives aren’t waging this war. Disney, not conservatives, chose to themselves ‘salt the earth,’ against parents over parental sovereignty. They and their surrogates accused parents of murdering gays, for crying out loud …” Loesch began in an epic and viral Twitter thread.

“…Disney waged a heinous, scorched earth campaign against parents and it blew up in their collective face. Do not start lecturing these parents and those who support them about ‘salting the earth,'” she railed.

“The same people that lament pushback today are the same ones who lectured us tea party folk for being too loud, too aggressive, too uncompromising. Without that spirit in the party Republicans would be nothing but a bunch of Mitt Romneys,” Loesch charged.

“Look, grace and justice can coexist. Entities who try to usurp parental authority should receive pushback. Removing exemptions isn’t harsh or unfair, to the contrary, it’s fair by making Disney abide by the rules all other biz must follow,” she stated hitting the argument out of the park.

Her heated comments come after a number of Republicans attacked DeSantis and others for going after the Reedy Creek District issue. The Florida governor is poised to sign a bill stripping Disney of its special exemption that allows the park to basically govern itself. Other parks receive no such consideration in Florida and many believe the move is long overdue to level the playing ground. The removal of Disney’s special status will cost the company millions every year.

My friend Kurt Schlichter said, ‘Yeah, there’s every reason to salt the earth. To demonstrate you don’t screw with us because we keep getting screwed with and we’re tired of it. Use your power against us, we’ll use our power back against you,'” Loesch stated.

She is in full agreement with the “salt the earth” sentiment when it comes to the left over this.

“Disney’s been woke for a long time and this latest push… this went beyond advocacy guys within the scope of their own business. This is a corporation that actually believed it had more of a right to influence Florida’s children than the actual parents of said children. Its executives’ its heir and even its damn CEO smeared parents who simply wanted the right to know of and consent to sexual education in elementary schools,” Loesch asserted.

“I would be more sympathetic to these calls for caution from conservatives if conservatives as a whole had this history of waging these scorched earth campaigns on everybody and on every single industry that’s ever targeted us because of petty political partisanship. But we don’t do that. If anything, too many on our side have been meek. They think that if we are overly nice and we excuse leftist bad behavior, that the left will be persuaded to vote Republican because you know of all the kindness. When has that ever worked? It’s rhetorical,” she scoffed.

Loesch went on to praise DeSantis for standing strong in the face of backlash from both the left and the right.

We’ve been silent way too long. At this point, the only way to correct these abominations that the left is pushing down our throats is to push back and push back hard. I applaud Desantis and the legislature in Florida for doing just that. Dumb choices sometimes bring huge financial consequences. My only hope is that this continues. And hey, Disney, I hear the loons in Colorado are ready to give you asylum so go on and take your wokeness to the cold, snowy mountains. Maybe some of your supporters will follow.

Maybe Mitten made a deal with the devil to save his wife’s life. Or the guy was always a closet democRAT.

Mittens Romney doesn’t care about the sexualization of kids. He wants this perversity shoved down our throats. Remember this, and do not forget, who sold this country and its values down the drain.

Walt Disney designed a park for family entertainment, period. The latest so-called management, in trying to brainwash into deviant behavior has lost sight of the original intent and deserve everything that is being done to them and the corporation!!

Florida sheriff says homeowners are 'more than welcome to shoot at' crooks who break into their homes: 'We prefer that you do, actually'

April 22, 2022

A Florida sheriff said in no uncertain terms that homeowners in his county are "more than welcome to shoot at" all those who break into their houses.

"We prefer that you do, actually," Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson said at a Thursday press conference.

What are the details?
Johnson had been briefing the media on the arrest Wednesday of Brandon J. Harris — a "frequent flyer" crook with long rap sheet. Johnson said his outfit's first "interaction" with him took place when Harris was just 13 years old.

Johnson said authorities got multiple calls after 4:30 p.m. about a suspicious person in a Pace neighborhood, and the sheriff said Harris broke into several residences.

About 40 minutes later, Johnson said Harris broke into a home — but the homeowner fired a gun at Harris multiple times without hitting him, and Harris remained on the loose.

Johnson said Harris broke into yet another home, and authorities captured him when Harris jumped through a window's glass after he was cornered in a bedroom.

At the time of his arrest, Harris was wanted on two felony warrants and one misdemeanor warrant, the sheriff said. For this latest run-in with the law, Harris was charged with felony attempted burglary with assault, two counts of felony burglary to an occupied dwelling, felony burglary to an unoccupied dwelling, resisting arrest without violence, criminal mischief, and attempted larceny. His bond was set at $157, 500.

Open season declared
"We don't know which homeowner shot at [Harris]. I guess they think that they did something wrong, which they did not,” Johnson said. “If somebody is breaking into your house, you’re more than welcome to shoot at them in Santa Rosa County. We prefer that you do, actually.”

Johnson added, "Whoever that was, you're not in trouble. Come see us. We have a gun safety class we put on every other Saturday, and if you take that, you’ll shoot a lot better and hopefully save the taxpayers money.”

He also noted that "if somebody's breaking into your house, you've got all the right in the world to defend yourself. Of course [Harris] didn't get hit, and now we've gotta pay for him."

Anything else?
Johnson said Harris chased a woman into her house during Wednesday's incident, but fortunately the woman — who had kids inside the home — locked the door just before Harris got to it and began pulling on it.

Johnson said Harris has been arrested 17 times, the Miami Herald reported.

Pace is in Florida's panhandle about 15 miles north of Pensacola, the paper added.

"Liberty once lost is lost forever. When the People once surrender their share in the Legislature, and their Right of defending the Limitations upon the Government, and of resisting every Encroachment upon them, they can never regain it."

Words, written by John Adams in 1775, that still ring true today.

Big Tech Gets A Powerful Ally In Their Fight To End Democracy
April 22, 2022

Big Tech monopolies are being promoted by high-ranking officials in the intelligence community, also known as the deep state.

They penned an open letter to legislators defending the complete dominance of corporations like Facebook, Amazon, Apple, and Google over their marketplaces, claiming that restricting it would assist the Russians.

“U.S. technology platforms have given the world the opportunity to witness the true story of the Russian military’s horrible human rights abuses in Ukraine, including Bucha atrocities, and the incredible valor of the Ukrainian people who continue to resist. Social media sites are full of messages of support for Ukraine as well as fundraising initiatives to assist Ukrainian refugees,” claimed deep state spooks.

“U.S. policymakers should not unintentionally impede the effectiveness of U.S. technology platforms in countering growing disinformation and cybersecurity threats, particularly as the West continues to rely on these firms’ size and reach to counter Moscow,” they stressed. “However, recent proposed congressional legislation would unintentionally restrict these platforms’ capacity to target disinformation efforts while also protecting their users’ security in the United States and globally.”

In a response published on his Substack profile, renegade leftist journalist Glenn Greenwald criticized this justification. Saying that these deep state saboteurs are attempting to stymie bipartisan legislation that is wildly popular with the general public and would reduce the size of tech firms.

“The blatant exploitation can hardly be more obvious: you must devote yourself to the complete preservation of Google, Facebook, Apple, and Amazon’s power if you despise Putin like any true and patriotic American should,” Greenwald said.

We’ve written about how tech companies have removed items in order to incite hatred against Russia and push the deep state’s preferred warmongering perspective:

“Ukraine on Fire” is a documentary about the Ukraine conflict from famous director Oliver Stone, which is being suppressed by Big Tech.”

“YouTube deleted Stone’s documentary, “Ukraine on Fire.” We believe that the public should have a say in what it sees, not Google executives. We’re pleased to announce that the producers have uploaded the film to Rumble, allowing anyone who wishes to see it to do so,” said Rumble on Twitter.”

The intelligence community is dead set against what is good for the general public. President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s dire warnings about the military-industrial complex have come true.

Florida Dems disrupt session, scream out in tantrums as bills pass to strip Disney, approve new maps
April 22, 2022

Florida Democratic Party lawmakers threw an ugly temper tantrum that was more fitting for a preschool nursery than the state legislature, screaming and yelling as Republicans moved forward with the stripping of “woke” Disney’s privileged status.

On Thursday, the Florida House of Representatives voted to eliminate Disney’s very special magic kingdom of its de facto private government and the special district where its sprawling theme parks are located, one day after the state Senate did its part. The bill now heads to the desk of Governor Ron DeSantis whose stand against Disney’s corporate arrogance has been cheered by conservatives.

The flip side of cheering was the Democrats’ rude display which was unbecoming of adults, especially elected lawmakers who acted like immature fools with their futile effort to disrupt the legislative process.

More Bad News For Democrats:
Asian-Americans Switching To GOP

Asian-Americans Are Bolting From The Democratic Party,
And They Might Never Look Back
APRIL 22, 2022

As more Hispanic Americans become disillusioned with the Democrat Party, another voting bloc that has been fairly reliable may also be jumping ship. With issues like school admissions becoming more discriminatory to them, more Asian-Americans are taking a second look at the Republican Party, and they are liking what they see.

According to the 2020 U.S. census, the Asian population grew by a substantial margin of 35.5% between 2010 and 2020. It is the fastest growing non-white population, and they are not happy with president Joe Biden. A January poll showed his approval with Asian-Americans at 55%.

Elder: Clueless media ignore Biden atrocities because they
truly believe Trump re-emergence would be worse

April 22, 2022

Regardless of President Joe Biden’s “incompetence” or “cluelessness” on issues such as inflation and crime which are of the greatest concerns to American voters, Larry Elder says Democrats believe that the reemergence of former President Donald Trump is worse.

Elder, who launched the Elder for America PAC at the beginning of this year, joined fellow guest Geraldo Rivera on “Hannity” Thursday to discuss the controversial lifting of Title 42 which prevents people from entering the U.S. during a pandemic, as well as mask mandates, and the role of the media in informing voters.

Fox News host Sean Hannity started the segment with a clip of Biden in which he apparently confused the lifting of mask mandates from airlines and other forms of public transportation– which the Biden administration is appealing — with the extension of Title 42 in response to his newly-announced “United for Ukraine” program, which aims to streamline the process for Ukrainian refugees to enter the United States.

“On the issue of Title 42, let’s be real here,” Hannity said to Elder. “The only reason they are looking at the science now and they’re trying to stop and maybe delay lifting Title 42, isn’t it to help the set of candidates in Texas, Nevada and Arizona, and isn’t this a case where they are just lying to the people in their states?”

“Absolutely, a growing number of Democrats — and you are right, these are people that are in very, very tough races — they are the ones who are now coming out and saying that we ought to retain Title 42,” Elder replied. “And apparently Joe Biden forgot that from day one he said he wanted to no longer impose Title 42 and got that confused with the judge who struck down his federal mask mandate.”

“I don’t know whether it is incompetence, which is scary, or cluelessness, which is scarier, or by design, which is scariest, but remember Sean, the Biden Administration had two tasks,” the former California gubernatorial candidate continued. “Task number one, make sure that a self-described democratic socialist, Bernie Sanders, did not win the nomination because they felt even he could not beat Donald Trump, and number two, to defeat Donald Trump. After that, they couldn’t have cared less.”

Elder referred to an earlier guest on the show, political analyst Reince Priebus, who joined Hannity to respond to PolitiFact’s “false” rating of Biden’s recent apparent handshake with thin air.

“That’s why, when Reince Priebus talked earlier about why the media is not informing us, they couldn’t care less,” Elder said. “They think that the reemergence of Donald Trump will be worse no matter what incompetence Joe Biden has done regarding inflation, regarding crime, regarding porous borders. They think Donald Trump is worse so they have zero interest in informing the public about the connection between all of these problems and Joe Biden’s policies.”

Following his appearance, Elder took to Twitter to comment further on the media and Biden’s cognitive state.

“The only thing more frightening than Biden’s clear and dangerous cognitive decline,” said Elder, “is that the same media — that pushed the Trump-Russia collusion lie, shut down the Hunter-Joe laptop story and wanted to invoke the 25th Amendment against President Trump — are ignoring it.”

Philly scraps mask mandate days after reinstating,
critics believe they know why: ‘Power of the people’

April 22, 2022

As of Thursday night, Philadelphia has decided to end its indoor mask mandate—and this only a few days after reinstating it.

“Given the latest data, the Board of Health voted tonight to rescind the mandate,” Sarah Peterson, a spokeswoman for Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, explained in a statement to CNN. “The City will move to strongly recommending masks in indoor public spaces as opposed to a mask mandate.”

As a result, the city’s Board of Health voted on Thursday to rescind the mandate, which had a pretty short lifespan. It was only on April 11 that the Health Department had announced its requirement that face masks would be mandatory indoors throughout the city, and the mandate went into effect on Monday of this week.

And it was only last month, on March 2, that Philadelphia had brought its previous indoor mask mandate to an end.

MY 3 BEST TIPS FOR FACING THE COURTROOM AFTER A SELF-DEFENSE SHOOTING

Jeff Anderson
Have you ever heard this before (or said it)…
“I’d rather be judged by twelve than carried by six!”

A lot of gun owners, if you asked them, would agree with this statement.

In theory, most of us would because it makes sense that you’re better off shooting someone and being “wrong” than NOT shooting and being dead, right?

But in reality, thinking like that could ruin your life and leave your family bankrupt.

The sad reality in our lawsuit-happy world is that your legal defense for a shooting – even one that you feel was 100% justified – looks an awful lot like “guilty until proven innocent” in court. So here are…

My 3 Best Tips For Facing The Courtroom After A Self-Defense Shooting

Look, aren’t you sick of hearing too many stories of some responsibly armed citizen who put a bullet in some scumbag who broke into his home and was threatening his family… only to see our “justice” system try to paint HIM as the villain?

Unfortunately, that’s the way it is these days… you can’t escape it… and I hope you and your family never have to sweat it out in a courtroom wondering if you’ll end up going to jail for protecting those you love.

These 3 tips will help you out…

1. Never Trust The District Attorney
The DA you’ll face doesn’t care about whether you’re innocent or not – his only job is to make you look as guilty as he possibly so he can win a conviction against you.

Since his “job performance” is based on not losing cases “which wastes the taxpayers’ money”, he’ll likely try to scare you into a plea bargain by saying…

“I’m afraid I’ll have to seek the maximum penalty of twenty years if you force me to go to the taxpayer expense of a trial.”

If you know your actions were justified… I recommend not taking the deal!

Pleading to a lesser charge will still make you “guilty” and you’ll likely do some jail time anyway AND lose your right to ever own a gun again… EVER!

2. Don’t “Cheap Out” Your Trial Defense
Even the innocent can “lose” a trial by going bankrupt paying lawyer and court fees since the longer you’re embroiled in the legal system, the more money it is going to suck out of you.

But that’s no reason to pinch pennies by hiring “my cousin, Vinny” or your “family lawyer” who helped you draw up your will.

You need an expert who knows how to defend in a real trial against hard-ass DA prosecutors – and wins cases!

Those guys and gals aren’t cheap… but your freedom is worth it, right?

Speaking of which…

3. Conduct Your Firearm Training With Your Freedom In Mind
You’ve probably also heard the saying…

“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”, right?

Look, I know it feels great to pop off a few caps down at the local gun range, but hopefully you now realize that your attacker is only one “fight” you have to survive.

The average “courtroom fight” costs at least $40,000 … and that’s even if you’re totally innocent!

Take the time to get training in shoot/no shoot decisions and use of force.

Yeah, yeah, yeah… you probably think you “already know” when you can shoot someone or not, right?

Unfortunately, you’ll be shocked how wrong you are – even if you’re an “expert” with a gun.

That’s why only about 20% of even “experienced” shooters are able to make all the right decisions in our 3 “Shoot – Don’t Shoot” video quiz scenarios.

The bottom line is that the best legal defense plan is to make the right LEGAL decisions when pulling the trigger (or not) in the first place!

You can’t afford not to know what is legal and what is not.

But the law isn’t always fair.

One wrong move and YOU could be the one who ends up in the back of the responding officer’s police cruiser — even if you think you are in the right!

And if that happens, you’d damn well better be prepared for the next fight of your life – the one for your freedom!

Leaving Your Comfort Zone: 13 Quotes
for When You Need a Little Push

As human beings, most of us crave stability, the habits of the everyday. There’s a good evolutionary reason for this: For millions of years, unpredictability and uncertainty were tantamount to danger. There are plenty of benefits to having a routine — it lowers our stress levels and is a building block of good health. The “comfort zone” exists for a reason: to keep us comfortable.

Still, there is such a thing as getting too comfortable. While we may feel safer in a routine, a fear of the unknown can also cause us to live life on autopilot. Too much stability has been scientifically linked to a lack of growth or learning in our lives. As the old adage goes: “Old ways won’t open new doors.” Staying in your comfort zone can restrict you, cutting you off from new experiences or from taking a leap toward what you really want.

Maybe you’re aware it’s time to step out of your comfort zone, but you don’t know quite where to start — old habits die hard, after all. These 13 quotes can help give you that gentle nudge out the proverbial door — and into exciting new territory.

Go and make interesting mistakes, make amazing mistakes, make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here.
— Neil Gaiman

Without experimentation, a willingness to ask questions and try new things, we shall surely become static, repetitive, and moribund.
— Anthony Bourdain

Sometimes the bravest and most important thing you can do is just show up.
— Brené Brown

If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.
— Dale Carnegie

[People] make their best work when they’re riding that wave and a little bit uncomfortable. Sell your own myth, but never buy it.
— St. Vincent, musician

When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.
— Lao Tzu

Great people do things before they’re ready.
— Amy Poehler

Don’t fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. The saddest summary of a life contains three descriptions: could have, might have, and should have.
— Louis E. Boone, author

Sometimes the place you are used to is not the place you belong.
— William Wheeler, screenwriter

And the thing about blooming is, nothing about the process is easy. It requires every part of you to stretch upward, with your roots firmly planted in the ground; and in the sun, and in the rain, and wind, you stand anyway, even against the pull of the soil. And through it all, one day you will see all along you were transforming.
— Morgan Harper Nichols, musician

Comfort can be dangerous. Comfort provides a floor but also a ceiling.
— Trevor Noah

A bird is safe in its nest — but that is not what its wings are made for.
— Amit Ray, spiritual leader

We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.
— Maya Angelou

"Reality is everything, and dreaming is the same."
-Iris van Herpen

Known for her optical illusion-inspired couture creations, Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen has made a name for herself as a creative visionary capable of translating fantastical concepts into wearable art. In a 2016 interview with The Talks, van Herpen offered her perspective on the subjective line between reality and dreams, explaining, "I try to stretch the boundaries or the perception of boundaries that we give ourselves." In other words, to do something brand new, we need to recognize that often the only differences between dreams and reality are the limitations we create for ourselves.

Things That Lasted Longer Than CNN+: New Coke, Tom Brady’s Retirement!
April 21st, 2022

Lasting just 32 days, CNN+ has been put out of its misery. The far-left streaming channel flopped on a massive level, lasting from just March 29 through April 30, 2022.

So, we wondered, just what lasted longer than CNN+?  Here's the top seven:

1. New Coke: The notorious change in Coca Cola’s recipe did way better than CNN+. New Coke launched on April 23, 1985. Although it was met with immediate backlash and the old formula returned on July 11, 1985, 79 days later.

2. Carrots in the refrigerator: According to Time magazine, carrots in a fridge can last six weeks. If CNN+ was a food you could store cold, it would go bad much quicker!

3. The sitcom Joey: While Friends was a massive hit, lasting 10 seasons, the spinoff Joey lasted just 23 months, from September 2004 to August 2006. Still longer than CNN+

4. Tom Brady’s retirement: Tom Brady, by any metric, is way more successful than CNN+. But he announced his retirement on February 1, 2022. By March 13, 2022, his retirement was over and the quarterback had returned. 40 days. CNN+'s birth, life and death didn't even make that.

5. The OJ Simpson trial: Back in 1995, CNN loved the OJ Simpson murder trial, covering it relentlessly. Yet, if it happened today, CNN+ wouldn’t last long enough for the whole thing. It started on January 24, 1995 and ended on October 3, 1995, just over eight months.

6. The marriage of Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock: If you believed Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson were destined for each other, you could hold that belief for 122 days in the summer of 2006. Still, the love of the rock star and Playboy model was almost four times as long as CNN+.

7. The XFL (first version): The attempted alternative to the NFL had its first game February 3, 2001 and last game April 21, 2001. That's 77 days. Now, the XFL was ultimately resurrected in 2020. Don’t expect such a return for CNN+.

Honorable mention: The presidency of William Henry Harrison (almost) lasted as long as CNN+. Harrison, who served as our ninth president, had the shortest term of any commander-in-chief. He took office on March 4, 1841 and died April 4, 1841, 31 days later. So Harrison’s presidency lasted just a day shy of CNN+'s 32 days. Of course, he gave a two hour inaugural address in the freezing cold. What’s CNN+’s excuse?

Without CNN+, where will people go for hard-left, biased cable spin? Oh, wait. There's still regular CNN.

Joe Biden Absolutely Complicit In The Sex Trade, He’s The Human Trafficker In Chief [VIDEO]
"The women and the children and the little boys..."
APRIL 23, 2022

With the Title 42 policy expected to end in May, border agents will no longer have the power to turn away illegal migrants due to a public health emergency. Put in place back during the Trump administration.

The now-Biden administration has sought to do away with policy while still spending billions of dollars on fighting COVID-19, what they believe to be a public health emergency. Still, as experts have warned about the influx of migrants in the coming months, Tom Homan, former Acting ICE Director, admitted that not only is he worried about the border but that the Biden administration is “actively facilitating cross border crime.”

Appearing on Fox News, as can be seen in the video below, Homan noted, “It’s the first administration that I’ve seen in my lifetime that’s actively facilitating cross border crime. And look, people attacked me all the time, the Trump administration, ‘how inhumane were you guys?’ Let me tell you something when President Trump got immigration at a 40-year low. The border was secure. How many women weren’t sexually assaulted? Children didn’t die.

How many migrants didn’t drown in the river? How many pounds of fentanyl didn’t get into the country that caused deaths from a US citizen overdosing? President Trump’s policies not only secured the border, it saved lives. A secure border saves lives.”

Back in January, before the Title 42 policy had become a topic of debate, Republican Representative Kat Cammack criticized the Biden administration for lack of accountability when it came to the border. She said, “This is the ‘Where’s Waldo?’ administration. No one can be found. No one wants to take responsibility.

You have a border czar in VP Harris, who has done close to nothing to stem the flow. You’ve got Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas, who I have personally questioned three times in congressional hearings, who has said that he thinks they’re doing a marvelous job, that the border is secure.

Of course, the data that you just showed points to the fact that, no, the border is not secure. And you cannot have a secure nation unless you have secure borders. And if you don’t have secure borders, you’re not a safe, sovereign nation.”

The Republican also slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, “She refuses to acknowledge there is a border crisis happening. Her colleagues — they don’t go to the border because they don’t want to see what we all know because it flies in the face of their narrative.

Now when we take the House, and by we, I mean the GOP and Republicans, when we rake the House back in November, we will have a plan ready to go come January when the 118th Congress starts. And I think that’s important because we have said that’s necessary to win in the midterms.”

But among all the people Rep. Cammack held responsible, she ripped into President Biden the most, labeling him “trafficker-in-chief.”

Uber is Facing Serious Legal Problems After Going Woke

Time and time again, large companies have been advised against embracing woke politics as a means of appeasing left-wingers.

For one thing, when companies do this, they are automatically alienating their customers who do not have left-of-center politics. Secondly, no matter how woke companies try to be, there will always be some folks further to the left who say they haven’t gone far enough.

Disney is learning this the hard way. Since Disney attacked and smeared Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law, the state revoked its special privileges regarding business operations. On top of this, shareholders of Disney have told the company to knock it off with the political grandstanding.

Sadly, other companies still have yet to learn. According to Washington Free Beacon, Uber’s decision to go woke within the past couple of years is going to cost them big time.

A Deep Dive Into Uber’s Legal Problems

Back in 2020, when the George Floyd riots were taking place, rideshare company Uber decided to cancel delivery fees for only black-owned restaurants. This decision then led to tens of thousands of legal claims, accusing the company of breaching civil rights laws.

According to a New York Court of Appeals, Uber will have to pay the American Arbitration Association, which may possibly shake out to the tune of $91 million.

Of course, Uber’s version of events is that it’s being unfairly punished and maligned for showing support to Black Lives Matter. In actuality, though, the rideshare company did cross a line when it only waived delivery fees for restaurants with black owners.

Uber should have known better, seeing as race-based discrimination in this country is prohibited by federal law. Furthermore, if Uber really felt so compelled to show support for Black Lives Matter, the company could have done so in a way that didn’t involve breaking civil rights laws.

The New York Court of Appeals has made it clear that Uber does bear responsibility and won’t be let off the hook.

The Moral of the Story

There is absolutely nothing about Uber’s business model that makes it political. The job of the rideshare company is to help people get to and from their designated locations, not make political statements.
.
“Go woke, go broke” is a phrase that’s been circulating lately. Between the fallout at Disney, and now with Uber, “go woke, go broke” is proving to be more true than ever.

Hopefully, Uber will learn a lesson from all this, along with other companies that may be considering woke politics.

Quotes on Aristotle’s Virtues, From Courage to Wit
March 24, 2021

Aristotle was not just a great philosopher; the ancient Greek scholar also wrote about poetry, drama, comedy, biology, physics, politics, and music. His thirst for understanding the world seemed boundless. When his works were studied in the Middle Ages, he became known as not just a philosopher but “The Philosopher.” In the poet Dante’s 1472 epic poem Divine Comedy, Aristotle is called “the master of those who know.”

Living in the fourth century B.C., Aristotle was the student of the renowned philosopher Plato and in turn became the tutor of Alexander the Great, then the prince of Macedonia. Serving at the royal courts, Aristotle became deeply concerned with how people might achieve eudaimonia, a Greek word meaning to flourish as a human being. To Aristotle’s mind, thriving in life was all a matter of character and virtue.

Aristotle believed that humans could learn to be virtuous by making a habit of moral acts — in other words, if you practiced acting like a good person, you would eventually become good. “For the things we have to learn before we can do them, we learn by doing them,” he wrote in Nicomachean Ethics, one of his most influential works. “Men become builders by building and lyre players by playing the lyre; so too we become just by doing just acts, temperate by doing temperate acts, brave by doing brave acts.”

Aristotle saw virtue as a balance between two extremes. The brave person, for instance, was one who avoided acting like a coward (considered a vice) but was also not rash or foolhardy (a vice on the other end of the spectrum). He believed moderation brought out the best in all people and made human society harmonious.

In his ethical works, Aristotle discussed the chief virtues a good and moral person should strive to possess as character traits. Here are Aristotle’s thoughts on 11 of the most important virtues.

COURAGE
Courage involves pain, and is justly praised; for it is harder to face what is painful than to abstain from what is pleasant.

TEMPERANCE
By abstaining from pleasures we become temperate, and it is when we have become so that we are most able to abstain from them.

LIBERALITY (GENEROSITY)
Of all those who are called virtuous the liberal are probably the best liked, because they are helpful; and their help consists in giving.

TRUTHFULNESS
Falsehood is in itself bad and reprehensible, while the truth is a fine and praiseworthy thing.

FRIENDLINESS
The best friend is he that, when he wishes a person's good, wishes it for that person's own sake.

JUSTICE
Justice is often regarded as the sovereign virtue, and ‘neither evening nor morning star is such a wonder.'

MAGNANIMITY
It is proper to a magnanimous person not to nurse memories, especially not of evils, but to overlook them.

RIGHTEOUSNESS
The man who gets angry at the right things and with the right people, and also in the right way and at the right time and for the right length of time, is commended; so this person will be patient... because a patient person tends to be unperturbed and not carried away by feelings.

MAGNIFICENCE
The magnificent man is like an artist; for he can see what is fitting and spend large sums tastefully
.
AMBITION
We blame both the ambitious man as aiming at honour more than is right and from wrong sources, and the unambitious man as not willing to be honoured even for noble reasons.

WIT
Wit is cultured insolence.

Demise of CNN+ lampooned by former CNN employee, Kristi Noem, Meghan McCain, and Joe Rogan: 'Do you want to watch 'The Mandalorian' or extra Brian Stelter?'
April 24, 2022

Warner Bros. Discovery shuttered CNN+ last week – only three weeks after the failed streaming service launched. There were reports that CNN+ was only attracting 10,000 daily viewers despite the network having spent an estimated $300 million to launch the service and another $100 to $200 million to promote the doomed venture. Many reactions to the demise of CNN+ lampooned the network's disastrous streaming service.

Former CNN producer and network insider doubted the success of CNN+
A former CNN employee tore into the management of the ill-fated streaming service.

"I defy you to find any reasonable person who ever believed that viewers would pay extra money for the dregs of CNN when it was competing for their wallets with Netflix and Disney Plus," a former CNN producer told Fox News. "Do you want to watch ‘The Mandalorian’ or extra Brian Stelter?"

A CNN insider informed the outlet, "I didn't get this whole thing from day one. I'm not commenting on the content here. I mean – the basic product itself. I didn't get why the massive money was spent after a merger had been announced. It was like, 'Wheee! AT&T gave us the money, let's burn it!' I don't understand it."

Another CNN insider told the New York Post that the "big people will likely be saved," but the producers and showrunners face six months in severance or nothing at all.

"Everyone is aghast and furious," the insider told the Post.

Meghan McCain and Joe Rogan dance on the grave of CNN+
Meghan McCain wrote in the Daily Mail, "Keep in mind, these are also the same people who told coal miners who lost their jobs to go back to college and 'learn to code.'"

McCain pointed out that CNN's cable TV network lost 70% of its total audience between February 2021 and February 2022.

She asked, "Why would anyone at CNN believe that the American public would pay extra for content from a brand that is already struggling to bring in audiences?"

"If someone pitched this idea to me, I would have said that they had been spending too much time in the Hamptons with Chris Cuomo and not enough time in the real world where Tik Tok stars, Joe Rogan, and Fox News primetime are the dominating media forces," McCain added,

Speaking of Joe Rogan, the premiere podcast host also mocked the failed streaming service during a recent episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience."

"They spent $300 million. They got 10,000 subscribers," Rogan gleefully razzed CNN+. "Imagine the hubris of thinking that something that people don't want for free? That you're going to charge money for it."

Rogan parodied a possible CNN+ executive meeting about programming, "'We're gonna have a Jake Tapper book club.'"

Rogan added, "Jake Tapper seems like a great guy. But I mean, I feel like I don't have to pay for his book club. I feel like you should put that on Twitter."

During the podcast, British author and political commentator Douglas Murray jokingly disparaged the streaming service as "CNN Minus" instead of "CNN Plus."

Kristi Noem takes a shot at President Joe Biden
South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem utilized the abrupt demise of CNN+ to bash President Joe Biden's decision to shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline.

CNN producer Ellie Smith urged people not to revel in the death of CNN+ because it left hundreds of people without jobs.

“PSA if you’re going to tweet something snarky about CNN+, hundreds of journalists and technicians who did nothing but work their tails off just had the rug pulled out from under them. So be kind," Smith wrote on Twitter.

The Republican governor of South Dakota shot back, "Now you know how the Keystone XL Pipeline workers feel."

Noem was referencing President Biden canceling the Keystone XL Pipeline – which cost at least 11,000 direct jobs.

Fauci Above the Law: Dr. Death Sets Up Defense Against Being Prosecuted [VIDEOS]
I wonder whether this is a foreshadowing of his defense in the event that...
APRIL 24, 2022

While videos have been uploaded of Americans finally taking off their masks on buses, trains, and airplanes, it seems that not everybody is thrilled about the ruling of the district judge in Florida. Having been fighting the pandemic since day one, Dr. Anthony Fauci was not amused by the decision.

On Thursday, he appeared on the already dead CNN+ and stated, “The CDC has the capability, through a large number of trained epidemiologists, scientists, to be able to make projections and make recommendations. Far more than a judge with no experience in public health.” Bashing the legal system, Dr. Robert Malone described Fauci’s stance as imperial.

Speaking with Steve Bannon, host of The War Room, Dr. Malone, the inventor of the mRNA technology, said, “Tony is finally revealing he has gone full out with the case that the public health system is above the law. That’s what he’s saying. And I wonder whether this is a foreshadowing of his defense in the event that… Ron Johnson finds himself head of the Subcommittee on the investigation because Tony Fauci has to be held accountable, and he’s already kind of gaming the system by saying, ‘Hey, I’m above the law.’ That is quite literally what he is saying. He is saying not only is he above the law, so is the CDC and the entire HHS and public health infrastructure in the United States. This cannot be allowed to stand.”

Bannon pointed out that Dr. Fauci said that “science should be paramount” in the video above. Again, upset by the ruling, not only has Dr. Fauci attacked the judge, but the Biden administration has already moved to appeal the decision. So, while those masks aren’t needed now, it might be best to keep them close by.

Dr. Malone added, “Tony Fauci is over the top. He has lost control of himself. And he always believed he was imperial, that he was above any accountability. And we all laughed about ‘I am the science,’ but now we see it in full flourishing. Tony Fauci believes that he is completely above the law. He believes he is an imperial ruler and has no accountability.”

Although Dr. Fauci promotes science and the CDC as being above the law, users online had a different opinion. “The CDC gets about 12 Billion in funding from non-Govt. sources. It needs an audit and strong oversight, and hard rules on what it can or cannot do. And a permanent mandate of no gain of function research.”

Another person wrote, “So glad someone like Mr. Bannon with a loud and influential voice has covered this the whole time. Dr. Malone is one of many heroes. His audio is not that great on this clip. Hard to make out everything he said.”

And one joked, “Now that their phony narrative is crumbling quickly, It is amazing to see all these scared tyrants now demanding they are “above the law.” It is only WISHFUL THINKING on their part.”

Highest Ranking Kamala Staffer Announces Explosive Resignation
April 22, 2022

In what is now the 13th staffer to escape Kamala Harris’ employ, the Vice President of the United States just lost her chief of staff.

This news comes amid a mass exodus from Harris’ Vice Presidential office and rumors of workplace turmoil, tension with Joe Biden’s staffers, and Kamala’s tyrannical management style.

Tina Flournoy is leaving the position of Vice President Kamala Harris’ chief of staff, the latest and most significant departure amongst the VP’s senior staff.

Tina Flournoy will be replaced by Lorraine Voles, a senior adviser to Harris since last summer, according to a White House official. Voles was communications director for Al Gore while he was vice president and adviser to Hillary Clinton in 2008.

[source: The Washington Examiner]

The most insidious, evil Democrats seem to all use the same staffers!

Harris praised her outgoing chief of staff in a statement, writing that Flournoy has helped lead her team from her first day in office.

“Tina has been a valued advisor and confidant to me and tremendous leader for the office,” Harris said. “From day 1, she led our team during a historic first year as we made progress rebuilding our economy here at home and our alliances around the world.”

She added that “Tina is the consummate public servant and I will continue to rely on her advice, counsel and friendship.”

Harris’s team has been beset with turnovers in recent months, with a string of departures by senior aides. Flournoy’s exit is the most significant yet.

In a statement, President Joe Biden’s chief of staff, Ron Klain, praised Flournoy, writing that she has worked alongside Biden and Harris to “make their partnership effective” and deliver for the administration.

“Tina has been a critical member of the White House team since day one, working with the President and Vice President to make their partnership effective and help the administration deliver on critical priorities,” Klain said in a statement. “Her experience, wisdom, and hard work have been instrumental to our success on many issues.”

The canned responses from White House officials obviously do not and cannot tell the true story behind Kamala’s tyranny as a leader and Vice President. She is a fool, a childish charlatan whose only merit is her ability to be non-white.

Hopefully soon Kamala will be gone with the wind, disregarded in history books, and looked at as an inconsequential filler VP.

White House Stunned By This Embarrassing Kamala Harris Question
April 22, 2022

Peter Doocy, a White House reporter for Fox News, asked whether President Joe Biden has “faith” in Vice President Kamala Harris’ ability to address the border’s fundamental issues.

“Does the president still have faith in the vice president to find out what’s causing people to migrate?” Doocy inquired.

According to Psaki, the president does and is “grateful for her effort in accomplishing that,” adding that he “appreciates” her

“Why?” Doocy pushed harder.

She went on, “Why is he so confident? Are there any updates you want to hear about some of the things we’ve accomplished?”

Fox & Friends’ Steve Doocy asked what gives Biden assurance when migrant encounters rose by 28% in March compared to the same month the previous year. According to CBP data, border guards encountered a total of 221,303 migrants at the US-Mexico border in March, a 33% increase from February.

“You asked me about causes, so let me start by explaining what the vice president and other administration officials have been working on and doing.” We’ve been collaborating with origin and transit nations in the region to help people return home as soon as possible, as well as limit migration in its states. “The vice president has been deeply engaged with some of that, which includes getting agreements with partner nations on migration-related issues.”

She said Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas went to Costa Rica to announce a bilateral migration agreement with the country’s president. The deal intends to promote economic development while also managing immigration flows.

“What it means to address root causes is working with countries in the region to take measures to establish partnerships and, as required, return people back to the region,” she concluded.

The White House reporter then inquired about the administration’s consideration of scrapping the Trump-era immigration policy Title 42, which resulted in over 1.7 million deportations in connection to COVID-19.

The White House press secretary stated that, in order to reform United States immigration policy, Congress will need to act.

In 2021, she was criticized for not going to the border despite her appointment to address root causes.

Nancy Pelosi Refuses to Investigate Origins of C*VID-1984, It Could Be Her Close Ties to the CCP Preventing It

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the long-serving Democrat from California, refuses to investigate where covid 19 came from. According to Peter Schweizer, the author of “Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win,” is due to her very close financial ties to China and that includes her husband.

Investigations could potentially be launched by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), but Schweizer has said that Speaker Pelosi should not be let off the hook so easily and needs to answer questions about her financial endeavors in China.

It is no secret that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) plays a heavy role in nearly everything that happens in China, making it virtually impossible to avoid them if a foreign national wants to do business in the country.

On Pelosi’s Chinese investments, Schweizer said, “She and her family have strong financial ties in China,” adding, “The covid investigation, to me, is particularly important. I mean, it’s been now more than two years – covid’s happened. In the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi has refused for there to even be a committee hearing on the origins of covid.”

As yet, there has been not a single committee hearing on the wu-flu’s origins and it has been clear for some time now, that the disease did not originate in a wet market in Wuhan, China.

“There’s not been one committee hearing to say, ‘Hey, maybe we should discuss to see where it came from.’ And honestly, I think one of the reasons, as I point out in the book, is she and her family have strong financial ties in China.”

According to Schweizer, Pelosi’s husband and son have also made a ton of money from deals done with the CCP and evidence suggests that the entire Pelosi family is heavily invested in China. Nancy also has questions surrounding her conduct around stock trading.

When recently asked whether or not members of Congress should be able to trade on the stock exchange, Pelosi stated that they should be allowed to, as they are private citizens and that should be their right to do so. However, when you literally control the laws of the land, including legislation that directly affects the stock market – it is beyond a conflict of interest at that point.

Sadly, whatever good was left in Pelosi has been seeping out for years now and we are all left with a third in charge, a corrupt leader, who is only interested in furthering her own agenda for the big bucks.

“She used to be quite critical on Beijing on human rights,” Schweizer says about Pelosi, noting that “she’s really pivoted” in recent years. “That has changed almost entirely.”

“So, if McCarthy comes in, I hope that those investigations happen and he has the power with some congressional committees to actually issue subpoenas. So, how about we have subpoenas and have Hunter Biden and others actually testify under oath about what’s going on.”

It appears that Pelosi may know more about the origins of covid than she lets on about and the fact that she refuses to speak on it, suggests that she may have a reason to hide these as it would undoubtedly expose her own ties and dirty deals with the CCP.

Ryan Long does bit on absurd dangers of NYC: Mom ‘so scared she doesn’t even want me to be a criminal’
April 24, 2022

Imagine, if you will, being an incarcerated petty criminal so horrified by the crime in New York City, where death is practically promised at every corner’s turn, that you’d rather remain in prison than be released there and risk being murdered.

Does it sound implausible? If so, that’s probably because it’s in fact the premise to non-establishment comedian Ryan Long’s latest sketch.

But what makes it funny, fans say, is how perfectly it mocks the absurd rates of crime that have been pummeling NYC in recent days, weeks, months and years.

Watch the full sketch below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B9ILYbypmG0&t=6s

The sketch shows an inmate fretting over his upcoming release date.

“Tomorrow I’m getting out on parole, and I found out they’re trying to make me do it in New York, which is gonna be a huge no for me. The city’s too dangerous. You know, I’m like a normal petty criminal. I sell drugs sometimes, steal scrap metal and they’re trying to send me to this place where everyone’s killing each other!?” he says.

Get it? The data shows that prison itself is extremely dangerous.

“The number of homicides in state prisons reached a record high of 120 deaths in 2018, a reminder that while prisons are secure, they are largely unsafe,” according to the Prison Policy Initiative.

“Violence in prison is commonplace, tied to trauma prior to incarceration as well as mental health stressors inside. The rate of homicide in state prison is 2.5 times greater than in the U.S. population when adjusted for age, sex, and race/ethnicity.”

Yet in Long’s sketch, being free in NYC is even more dangerous.

The inmate continues his rant by referencing the recent Brooklyn subway mass-shooting suspect and his smoke grenades.

“We used to be able to make an honest living as a criminal without having our lives in danger. Some dude’s on the subway using smoke bombs like he’s the Riddler. Unless the city finds a Batman, I’ll be much safer here,” he says.

Hilariously enough, the inmate then bemoans the “Defund the Police” movement and the “poo black faces” it’s inadvertently engendered.

“Felony assaults are up, grand larceny, burglaries. The cops basically stopped doing their job altogether because people don’t like them anymore. And by the way, I’m not some pro-cop guy, as you can imagine, but I should be able to deal some drugs without being murdered,” he says.

“People in the subway are getting feces smeared on them, getting poo black faces. My worst enemy wouldn’t do that to me here. What is this!? No, I was as excited as the next guy when they started getting rid of cops, but these violent idiots are taking advantage of it.”

“You know, at least in prison there’s rules. You know which guys not to say the wrong thing do, what not to do. New York is just arbitrary. There’s no predicting it. Serious crime’s up nearly 14. Yeah, apparently the mayor’s trying to use drones to stop all the crime now. It’s like, yeah, no thank you. I’ll be very fine here,” he continues.

Believe it or not, but this part is based on a real story:

The inmate then talks about how his mom, a longtime criminal herself, is so frightened by the crime wave that she’s giving up crime and encouraging him to follow suit.

“My mom’s been calling me off the hook. She’s so scared she doesn’t even want me to be a criminal anymore. I remember when I stole my first car stereo, and she was so friggin proud of me. My mom was actually one of New York’s first prostitutes, and now she’s getting out of the game because it’s too dangerous for her at 75, so close to retirement too,” he explains.

He continues by comparing prison life to New York City life.

“Yeah, I’ve gotten into a couple scuffles here and there in jail just because I smell bad, I don’t shower — because that’s how you keep the guys that want to bone you away — but I still don’t smell nearly as bad as New York subways,” he says.

“Piss everywhere. And the rats, you know, jail rats get roughed up. In New York, the rats are the size of humans, and they basically run the show. All these stores like Duane Reade put new security in to protect against thieves like me, but murderers can get away with whatever they want.”

The inmate concludes his hilarious rant by again reiterating that he’d rather remain behind bars than risk life in the big city.

“I guess my plan is to punch one of the guards so I can stay here or something. I don’t know. We have to do some violence to avoid violence. Ain’t that something? It’s like the 1990s that Brooklyn rappers talk about. Yeah, I don’t want to live in the Brooklyn the rappers talk about, OK!” he says.

“I’m crazy? Old ladies are getting punched in the head, needles are everywhere heaven forbid I need to sit down a second! Guys, I appreciate the offer to let me out on parole, but I am quite fine here, OK. I’m gonna finish my time here where I’m safe and move to a normal city!”

Hear, hear!

As dismal as Biden’s latest approval ratings have been, cackling Kamala Harris says ‘hold my beer’
April 24, 2022

A recent poll probably has Vice President Kamala Harris cackling with discomfort right now as only 28 percent approve of her in office performance and a solid majority of 62 percent disapprove which puts her underwater by 24 percentage points.

President Joe Biden received similar ratings – but to his credit not quite as bleak – with a 39 percent approval rating and a 55 percent disapproval rating according to the survey conducted between April 18 and April 20 by the Trafalgar group.

There’s no telling what rock the 8.9 percent of people are hiding under that they hold zero opinion of the woman who is just a heartbeat away from becoming the Commander-in-Chief for the United States.

But that population may not have time to spend waiting to hear her answers to questions as was the case earlier this month when Harris was interviewed by Joy Reid and spent five minutes dancing around the answer to a question about whether Vladimir Putin should be removed from office.

After droning on about generalities about the situation between Russia and Ukraine as well as extensively detailing her travel plans, Reid finally followed up to try to pin her down on an answer.

“So no luck on getting you to weigh in on whether he should remain [in office]?” Reid asked again.

“Well, no. Listen, let me be very clear, we are not into regime change, and that is not our policy,” Harris ultimately responded.

Some people questioned the 13.5 percent of Republicans that claimed to approve of her job performance, noting that it may be reasonable for Democrats to “pull the wool” over their eyes, but they hold conservatives to a higher standard.

Although her ratings have tanked, Harris may not be surprised by the poor feedback on her vice presidency. After all, she admitted last month that “people are struggling” under Biden’s economic policies making it “too expensive for working families.”

The survey also revealed that only 35.6 percent of people self-identified as Republican, but 48.1 percent plan to vote Republican in the upcoming election, with 12.5 percent still undecided.

Many viewed the poll as a looking glass into the reason there isn’t more talk of removing Biden from office using the 25th amendment while others noted how utterly irrelevant her approval ratings are.
